Genuine 1ru PDU with good UK 13amp socket density
*** Update September 11th 2020 ***The power switch has died.As I reported in the main review below, the power switch did not always switch off on the first attempt and for the last three days I have been unable to power of this PDU at all.Thankfully the switch is permanently on, rather than premanently off, so the strip can still be used to power things, but I am now unable to power off the strip via the switch and need to unplug items I want powered down. The switch felt like the least reliable component and I am not really suprised it has failed. If you are looking for a switched PDU I suggest you look elsewhere as corners have clearly been cut on quality.-v-v-- Original 3* review -v-v-This is a genuinely 1ru PDU (there are some around that are slightly more than 1ru which can cause a problem if you intend to rack mountkt directly above or below). The unut has a single power switch controling all six outlets. The switch is illuminated when on and a protective cover is supplied - this cover is pull-off/slip-on rather than flip up.This version does not have surge protection, though there is a surge protected version available at a slightly higher price.Note also that the panel itself is not fused and having an IEC C14 plug on the lead means that there is no fuse protection to the unit at all - this should therefore be installed only where the supply is fed from a fused outlet, spur or other fused PDU outlet. IN a rack mount setting thsi shouldn't be a problem, but should be noted in a domestic setting so as not to overload your properties wiring which could cause a fire! The only complaint is that the power switch isn't great. Switching on has a good positive action, but switching off is sometimes a but dodgy. Sometimes when switching off the rocker moves to the off position but without a click and the strip remains powered. A couple of stars off for that as it's a pretty crucial component!

Decent PDU
A decent PDU that appears to be put together reasonably well, the build quality seems to be good, it looks quite robust and durable, I like the cover on the power switch, however, it would've been better if it was attached as opposed to push-onNot sure about the power lead with the female kettle socket (IEC) at the end of the unit, totally in the wrong place, it would have been better with a hard-wired socket at the back of the unit for a plug-in IEC 13.It's a nice looking PDU, however, it doesn't state who it's made by or what country its made in with absolutely no information in the box whatsoever, this to me rings alarm bells,It switched on and worked fine albeit I haven't used it that much, time will tell

Strong outer materials but perhaps basic and questionable specs and internals.
This pdu has a simple design, 6 plug slots and a safety covered on/off switch. The switch is stiff in operation but serves its purpose. Each socket is indicated as 13A/230vThe image in the listing contradicts a bit with the products own labelling - The image states its rated for 4000w, though on the PDU itself, Max output power is labelled as 2500w and max current is 3500w. I feel the listing could use a bit more detailed information. The PDU itself is well made and has indeed got a strong aluminium finish. From my understanding this PDU is not the best option out there, and maybe a bit lacking internally - It has got a good metal build and on/off switch but for reliability and safety it seems to be questionable in the long term. The PDUs 24 month warranty only applies if you dont modify or open it - So any user improvements or quality checks arent advised. From some research I have carried out on this PDU - it may not be suitable for domestic uses and would strongly advise taking the proper research into your own use case and safety requirements when making a decision on your PDU choice. From my understanding and the lack of detail in the items listing I couldn't recommend this - especially with the conflicting information on the product itself and the image in the listing.

Does what you want.
I bought this for my server cabinet. It connects to my UPS and gives me the standard type G UK plug in my rack for use with my switches.Nothing else to say really, does exactly what you want. There is an LED in the light btw.
