It took me forever to determine what a true OEM replacement part would be. My SUV manufacturer used both Philips and Osram during their production runs. Both brands are well-reviewed so I went with Osram mainly because it was available with Prime and Philips was not (at least at the time). Also, my OEM was 4300K color and for a few dollars more Osram had this 4600K so I figured why not. For such a small product, it takes a lot of effort to make sure you're getting genuine replacements, too, and not some gray market part or knockoff. Amazon really needs to do a better job with vetting their inventory and giving buyers confidence. Fortunately, both Osram and Philips have ways on their website to verify that the part you received in the box is genuine. This part installed just fine. The only difference between my OEM Philips bulb was that Osram uses a metal collar at the base of the bulb. Philips used plastic. I appreciated the high quality metal but it meant that it made for a much stiffer connection to the vehicle. If you've ever replaced headlamp bulbs before you know that space is tight and you have to be a contortionist to install them so anything to make things easier is important. I replaced both headlights at the same time and have been using them for over a month now. They work great and I haven't had any issues. Osram gives a 4 year guarantee. My OEM bulb lasted 6 (that's when the first one burned out - the other was still going but I replaced anyway), so I'm expecting these to last the warranty period and hopefully beyond. Highly recommend this product.

After 9 years my 2013 Audi A6 headlamp went out last week. The last thing I wanted was to be pulled over for a burned out headlamp so I wanted this replaced ASAP. Did my research and found this bulb was the OEM part. Audi dealer wanted $218 just for the bulb. Didn't want to take a chance on the cheaper bulbs out there as some reported early burn-outs. I checked the hologram on the packaging and verified the bulb was an Osram product, not a knock-off. Color temperature matches my left headlamp perfectly. Model number on new bulb: 66340HBI D3S matched identically. Apparently HBI means "high beam improved".Plenty of Youtube videos explain the change out process. One video said you had to dismantle the air filter assembly to gain access to one screw from the hood but that's not necessary. Instead I turned the wheels away from the access panel in the wheel well and carefully dismantled the two covers - being careful not to drop any of the 3 screws (one on the outside cover, two on the inside cover). A tight squeeze but doable and I had the bulb changed in 30 minutes. Requires T20/T25 torq head screwdrivers.

For the past few years I have been replacing my headlamps with the BRAND name. Today, I tried to get a replacement directly from the manufacturer and the representative advised me that I was not eligible for a refund due to the seller on Amazon not being an authorized seller therefore the warranty claim could not be honored. So basically I’ve wasted hundreds of dollars thinking they were going to abide by their “4 year warranty”.I’ll never use them again.
