The name of this era is... Whitebeard!
Okay, so I fiddled around very lightly with the old man's mustache a couple times (I'm sorry that sounds so wrong), when suddenly... POP! Off it falls. And you know what Whitebeard is without his glorious mustache, right? Well, he's still "Whitebeard" because he's never really had a beard, but his signature look disappears. That boomerang under his nose is what sets him apart between a generic fodder character and the highest of the top tier. You can imagine the panic that befell me the moment the 'stache descended from its proud place on the upper lip and into my trembling hands, leaving in its wake a crater just below his nose. What a flimsy job. You can tell not much was holding it there to begin with. Fortunately, with just a dab of Krazy Glue, the mustache now has a grip of iron. (As did my thumb and index finger, seeing as I had to spend the next few minutes practically tearing my skin off. The directions on the tube do not lie.)Now onto the figure itself: That whole fiasco with the falling facial hair is so easily corrected that my overall rating for the product retains a solid 5/5. I have already collected several Grandline Men figures and they have all lived up to a great standard of quality. Whitebeard is about a good inch or two taller than the others. I managed to grab this baby for $15! (See a similar deal down the line? Be sure to grab it quick because it vanishes the second you refresh the product page!) The clothing details on the Grandline figures are outstanding. Even better than some of the (actually more expensive) Figuarts Zero products. I'm so glad this line came out with THE Edward Newgate because, I tell you, be prepared to sacrifice an arm and a leg for any other Whitebeard figure. (Fingers crossed they give us an affordable Fujitora as well.) The only catch is that this DOES NOT include his captain's coat, which actually comes with another set that's a model of his grave after the Paramount War. (That piece with the rock and bone is intended to hold the coat in place, so be sure to keep it.) While I would love to have the coat, I cannot find it for any good price online. Still, WB's body sculpt is so gorgeous the figure's fine off without it. Not to mention, that bisento is rocking! (Or rather, Whitebeard is rocking that bisento! Either way, it's awesome.) I found that the head and 'stache were a bit small when I initially took them out of the box, but it looks completely normal once assembled. He compliments that bastard Teach on my shelf real well.

needs the staff
Missing the staff part, got the blade but no staff then there's a white piece that looks like debris and it fits the foot but adds nothing really to the look. I need the staff or the coat otherwise it's not that appealing. The tiny head doesn't help either.
