I enjoyed this realistic description of how difficult it really is to build a sustainable scalable business. As a 2nd time round successful entrepreneur I was very impressed with this easy to understand description on how to succeed in building a business. I will make reference to this book to help sell my businesses for maximum value. It further helps one to understand mergers & acquisitions, private equity, and deal making in a realistic way. I will definitely be using this book as a guideline to scale my businesses.

Thoughtful summary of concepts that should be in the back of the mind of any business owner but are often neglected on a day-to-day basis. An understanding of this material while operating rather than just before a liquidation event would be ideal; however, it would be very useful for someone contemplating selling or buying a business. Jon is expert on his subject but communicates in such a way that a layperson can understand.
