Have ordered 3 over the course of the years to use as hostess gifts. All were well received and appreciated. Use mine weekly for the best asparagus ever!

The steam case is FABULOUS ... time saving and simple. And delicious. And healthy.I wish there were more recipes in the accompanying book. That said, I did google for more recipes and found some.One thing: It takes some experimenting with timing and power variance. The provided recipes/directions are factored for a 850 watt microwave. I have a 1200 watt microwave. At first I was using 50% power, and that turned out to be a bit too slow. I fiddled around with it for a few weeks and am now quite comfortable with it. That said, though, shame on Lekue for not providing a conversion page for various microwave wattages.I would recommend starting with the provided cook times, no matter what microwave wattage you have ... and then proceed from there. Yeah, it's a bit of a pain the first few times, but if you make notes each time, it won't take long to get it just right.While I'm at it, Lekue also makes a pasta steamer that is FABULOUS. Basically for 2 people. In the course of experimenting, after I'd added the uncooked pasta and the water to the container, I learned to bring the water to a boil at full microwave power, then reduce the power to 80% ... and cook it for the recommended time on the pasta box. This pasta cooker saves a ton of time.

I have a standard microwave and it fits the turntable. I do 'fish' with success and of course leftovers are wonderful.

This is my favorite kitchen item. Love that you can use fresh veggies and they come out perfectly. Ideal steamer

I loved this so much that I bought several as gifts. I'm stationed in Europe, land of tiny microwaves and this still fits. By the time I get home from work I'm exhausted and really not in the mood to spend a lot of time on dinner. I can throw a couple chicken breasts in some marinade in the fridge in the morning, toss them in here when I get home with some veggies and in about 10-15 minutes my son and I have a delicious dinner with minimal effort. Clean up is super easy, rinse it out and toss it in the dishwasher. My husband is on an unaccompanied overseas tour elsewhere and hates the DFAC food so I sent him one of these and he's in love with it too. He'll marinate some fish and toss them in with some veggies and have it on his plate in 10 minutes. He doesn't have a dishwasher and says that handwashing it pretty quick and easy. We've been doing trips using Air bnb and pack this sucker in our luggage and cook for ourselves on trips. It squshes down and packs easily and regains it's shape.

I ordered the steamer at the recommendation of a friend. It says it comes with a cookbook, but mine did not. There are no instructions whatsoever so I can't use it. I could order the book for another $21, but nope...

Awesome product, I had an egg cooker the oval one and loved the quickness of it so I ordered this steamer and did fish fillets which were wonderful. I have a new microwave and it is over 1000watts SO when I cook in these Lekue silicone steamers I use 70% power because most of the recipes call for an 800 watt oven. Which is lower than what I have, the fish was done to perfection, then I rinsed it out and piled in fresh spinach and steamed it for 3 min. but took it out at 2 because it was done. what a delicious healthy meal and so fast. The other day I was making tuna fish salad and did not have any boiled eggs to put in it along with the minced onions and sweet relish and Dukes Mayo so I got the Lekue oval egg cooker and cooked two eggs in less than a minute chopped them up, let them cool and added them to the tuna fish…it was superb, no need to keep boiled eggs on hand just to chop.

I went on vacation with extended family and fell in love with their steamer so I had to pick up one also! This thing is great. I love that it can go into the dishwasher and that on those nights where I don't want to get out my steaming pot I don't have to. It's less to clean up and it takes less time for our vegetables. It comes with a cookbook and it says you are able to do different food but so far I just use it for our veggies. The first one I purchased was a small one and I didn't realize there was a bigger one. This one definitely makes enough for my family of 5!
