Limited use since purchase 5 years ago but surprisingly good.
I bought this in 2019 AND had it on one of my Ruger 10-22s. Shot it at the range and liked it. Since then I've retired, done a bunch of gardening and such but finally got back and realized I had put this on my AR-15. BUT I don't remember using it on there. So last week I took the gun out, put in the CMMG kit and set my target at 25 yards. The first shot was a WEEE WITTLE bit high. You can see it just left of the 6 at the top. I trimmed it down and didn't think to see how much just thought I'd see if I went too little or far. The rest of a 25 round mag is right there. STILL left of center a tad BUT all in the same hole. I then worked with the NSSF challenge target form last month shooting the big targets down to the small ones, still left of center a bit. Upon cleanup I found the Allen wrench in my pocket having put it there after the vertical adjustment and then happy with the seat of the pants adjustment, went to plinkin. So, those targets look like I hit it with a shotgun, several times. I'll have to go to the Actual range, not my home range that, we're in country but I don't shoot big guns here, often, and see how it holds up to 556 rounds. Was fine with going through the 3 mags 4 times Never varied for 325 rounds anyways. I had multiple trips to the range with my Ruger. So it holds up to 22LR quite well at least.I don't know if they will become available again OR if there is an upgrade but I like this one for what I use it for. Don't hesitate for you to purchase it or the equivalent.

Dagger Defense sight vs. Generic; The subtle differences.
8/26/15 UPDATE: Mounted the FieldSport/Generic on a Hi-Point 9mm Carbine and put 100 rounds down range. The sight was easy to zero and produced consistent tight groups, but was only accurate using the red dot reticle, which I used to zero the sight. The circle dot reticle was slightly off target, with the other reticles being way off. I'll mount the Dagger Defense sight and test it at the range to see if it sufferes from the same issue, and will report my experience. Since I only use the red dot, the other reticles aren't important to me, but a good quality sight should hold zero in all reticle settings. Also, I generally use a 3-inch target (aim small, shoot small), which is morphed by even the red dot reticle, the smallest of the 4 reticles. I realize these are for quick target aquisition, but I'd like to see an option for a smaller reticle for increased accuracy.Anyone who purchased the Dagger Defense red dot sight most likely also contemplated buying the generic version, but ultimately decided to part with the extra $20 for what they hope is a better quality sight. I was on the fence, so I purchased a Dagger Defense sight and a generic sight for comparison. My generic sight is unbranded, but the box says FieldSport. Out of the box, the sights appear to be identical, and are similarly packaged with a lens cloth, allen tools for mounting and sight adjustment and a CR2032 lithium battery. Both sights are constructed of black anodized aluminum and made in China, and while they appear identical, there are a couple of subtle differences. First, the coating on the lens of the Dagger Defense sight is a darker grey tint than the generic. The reticles on both sights are bright even on their lowest light setting, so the darker coated lens on the Dagger Defense sight doesn't affect performance. The biggest difference I see is with the on/off and lamp adjustment knob. The generic is numbered 1 to 5 for each of the red and green color reticle, with positive clicks at each number; 5 being the brightest and 1 the dimmest, while the Dagger Defense on/off knob is a rotary switch with a graduated arrow for the brightness setting, and a nub built into the knob indicates the position of the switch. My personal preference is for the numbers with positive clicks at each brightness setting, but this in itself is not a deal-breaker. Prior to my purchase from Dagger Defense, I reached out to customer service at BELLOWAY LLC and inquired as to the difference between their sight and the generic version. I received a detailed reply explaining the steps taken to ensure quality control and that they have a very good working relationship with the factory that produces the sights for Dagger Defense. Well, those are the physical differences as I see them. How well each sight holds up to repeated recoil over a period of time is yet to be known. While I did not attempt to contact customer service for FieldSport, the customer service at BELLOWAY LLC is excellent, with prompt and detailed responses to questions. They seem very willing to stand by their product and correct any problems, which to me is worth the extra $20. The Dagger Defense labeling on the shield also adds a degree of 'coolness' to the product's appearance.

Overall value and price
First, outstanding shipping and service from the Amazon delivery driver!! Second, this my third optic from Dagger Defense. And they have stepped their game up!!! The new optic includes: instructions, a set of allen wrenches for installation, adjustment, and removal, a lens cleaning cloth, and two 2032 batteries; all set within a very nice and sturdy portable carry case that fits nicely inside my range bag. There are more expensive optics available with more bells and whistles. However, the number of accessories included, plus the overall quality of this optic at this price? It will be a challenge to find a better deal. The optic Iām buying for my next rifle will be from Daniel Defense!!šÆšš¾
