LEGO75035 Star Wars Kashyyk Troopers

If you want to build up your Star Wars Lego collection with some anonymous camo troopers, this is a great set, and it includes a 2-seater speeder (a scaled down version of the previously 2010 released Republic Swamp Speeder set #8091).You get two each of the two types of clone troopers, then one speeder. (Specifically, 2x 41st Elite Corp Troopers and 2 Kashyyyk Clone Troopers.)This set comes with the new blaster guns where you can click the gun and it will actually propel out the translucent blue LEGO Round Plate 1 x 1 (4073 / 6141 / 15570) that you see on the tip. (Yes, this comes with several spares of this bit, because they will fire out pretty far, and will get lost fast.)The clone faces are still part of the Prequel designed faces and not the Clone Wars cartoon faces (the Clone Wars cartoon heads have really big eyes).As a standalone or a complimentary set for something bigger like the AT-AP walker which comes with the Kashyyyk clone commander Gree, it's a good set.

Definitely get this set for the minifigs. While the scouts have already been released in previous sets, the regular clones are a new addition. The camo print on these minifigs are really great and looks similar to modern day military camo. Great figures if you want to use them for a future soldier lego build. The vehicle is a plus and fairly detailed despite its scaled down size. The only negative thing about this set would be the scout helmet and the stud shooters. The scout helmet is cool, just a poorly made design with the visor location. Overall, get this set for the swamp clones. They'll make a fine addition to any clone army collection.

This set ALMOST gets it right. I was at first skeptical of camouflage outfits but once I opened the box I was impressed. The camo looks COOL. And I think the shape of the Episode III helmets gives the clone less of a cartoony and more of a serious presentation (I actually have come to like the Ep 2 helmet when viewed alone, but the Ep 3 helmet is superior when they are compared). I also like the swamp hovercraft that is the mini-build of this set. It includes a couple of the stud basters which, in spite of their large size, are awesome because they work very, very well.The downside of this set to me is the strange shape of the Scout Helmet. Instead of altering the Biker Scout Helmet from ROTJ, the visor section is wider and has a blue color. I have nothing against the color but the shape makes me think that all the Scouts are bug-eyed or have exceedingly large foreheads. My gripe boils down to the decision not to alter the same, old clone head to include a blue or black headband (like all the Batman mini-fig heads have a white headband to give Batman white eyes), a blue or black head covering (like the Tie pilots), or just black hair. These options would have prevented the shape of the head from being compromised.In spite of this the two clones with the Ep 3 helmets went on a tropical vacation with us (too bad for them...so did the Rancor).

If you like the look of the episode 3 clones and the tanks and weapons they used in that movie, then this set is for you! I mean it isn't all that because it is pretty small to be honest, but the best part is that its fun. What i mean by that is that you can use it to add it to other sets like since its so small it will fit with your other Lego clone sets as well, so there isn't much to worry about it being boring or anything. Also they have new blasters and those things are really fun so if you think the old ones are boring then this is for you. So like i said earlier if you want to have a HUGE clone army than this will go nicely because it is so small and similar it will just go with everything.

I do not know how to 'grade' these LEGO items. Therefore I cant say it got 5 stars for the product itself. But, our grandson is deep into the LEGO things... and especially the Star Wars ones. He was VERY PLEASED with this gift! Seemed to have no problem putting it together - - - he looked at the instructions with it... and put it together right away! He is 8. The 5 star is because he thought it was wonderful... and as many as he has . . he would be the one to KNOW if they are great or not!

Apparently you can never have enough different types of Lego Storm Troopers. My boys like the new blasters that shoot little Legos all over the house. The only downside is that this kit doesn't come with anyone for them to shoot at. An odd omission, but nothing too serious given the number of other targets we already had. But enough to make this product loose one star.
