I have a bernadoodle/King Charles mix and she loves this brand (I always get ancient grains recipes and not the grain free) and I usually add dehydrated meat toppers from Stella and chewy. She loves it and goes into full zoomies mode every morning and night when she knows it’s food time

Dogs seem to like the flavor and it is a good quality

I feel the need to rebut the reckless comments made by some reviewers. The FDA has NOT issued any kind of warning concerning DCM and any connection to diet. They are simply gathering statistics. They have drawn NO conclusions nor found ANY evidence of a relationship. The FDA is drawing its information from approximately 500 cases reported in a 2 year period. Which when you consider how many dogs there are in the US makes DCM a VERY RARE condition which some breeds a genetically predisposed to. The most concerning statistic is that 90% of the cases were eating grain free food. As a result my Vet does not recommend any grain free food and states that certain grains have significant benefits in a dogs diet. They do highly recommend the taste of the wild brands that contain grain though. It is reckless and irresponsible to to toss around statistics and draw conclusions from them not supported by the facts or science of any sort and misstate facts simply to sow a little fear. If you have concerns about your dogs diet consult your vet and the AAFCO.

I purchased these because my old rescue dog was having problems with allergies when he ate the big box dry dog foods. The vet didn't have any ideas beyond a prescription (which helped short term, I admit) so I had to figure it out for myself.My first try was grain free dry dog food. Nope, that didn't work.Then I found these by accident, and I tried them. My dog is an indiscriminate eater, so the fact that he liked it didn't factor into the answer.It's now two months later, and he gets a can of this dog food with fresh brown rice from my rice cooker. The allergy is almost gone, and I have hope we're near the end. I'll also add that his coat is softer and smoother than it used to be, and he seems happy.Does that mean this is the solution for your dog? I can't answer that. All I can say is that it worked for my doggo.5/5*

Our dog is allergic to most grains including soy, as well as carrots and beets. Thankfully non of that in this dog food.
