This electronics mat is perfect for small electronic repairs. Used this to fix my daughters laptop. It kept all the screws together neatly so I didn't lose anything. Very convenient and great value.

Worked great when I upgraded and fixed my mid 2015 MacBook Pro. All the pockets organized my screws and I recorded pocket number and screw origin and order on a note pad. Take step by step notes when you take things apart then you can go in reverse to put it back together.

This is a decent mat for occasional use. Just the right size for my needs. The smell that some complained about worried me, but on arrival yesterday there was almost no objectionable odor and today it is gone. I was also concerned that the mat would take a while to lie flat if it arrived rolled up. Well, it did arrive rolled up but lay flat on my workspace after one counter roll in the opposite direction. Also, I was able to use my old wrist strap connection with the longer cord. I agree that the one supplied is a bit too short, but could easily be extended if needed. This is not a professional ESD mat by any means, but at this price point, that is not the intent. One nice thing - I have already found this mat much easier to clean than my old one.

I return this before opening it, I'm just leaving a review to make it go away from my reviews list. The only reason I didn't open it is because I ended up constructing the computer on cardboard and had an anti-static wrist strap already. But I imagine this is worth it especially if you're working with electronics constantly.

Handy little project mat for a recent laptop upgrade. For some reason I thought this mat would be rigid, probably I didn't read the description, but it's actually a silicon mat that comes rolled up in a box. As it turns out, I really liked it. The silicon surface is non-slip with really useful numbered organizers for putting small screws and stuff. The workable surface area is about the size of a 15" laptop, I have an XPS, but I'd say it's similar to a MacBook Pro as well. It also came with an ESD strap for the wrist and another to clip to the mat. The compact size worked fine for me on my desk without taking up too much space.

great product and great customer service

I needed to get this to safely change the battery in my laptop. The size was just right for the 14" computer. The compartments are just right for keeping screws and other small parts organized. The cord that goes into the receptacle is a bit short, so I used an extension cord to plug it in. It came rolled up but flattened out without problems.I only used the mat once, and then put it into storage until I need it again. I purchased this one based on the other positive reviews I read. No issues and the computer works fine, so I guess the protection was sufficient.
