AMERICAN MADE!
There are a lot of pans like this for sale on Amazon. I think this is the only one that's actually made in the USA. There's a brand called Chicago brand. But they're made in China.I had to do a couple on line searches to finally find this company. I was familiar with the company. But they just didn't come mind at the time. This pan is very sturdy. I expect more than my life time out this pan. I love the trivet that comes with it. No more having to cut the meatloaf in the pan.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Especially, if like me you are looking for American made products.

Love this Nordic Ware Meat Loaf pan
I actually use this more for baking bread than I do for meat loaf. The "lifting trivet" is very useful to get whatever you've made out of the pan. The pan itself is easy to clean, which is good, because you can't put Nordic Ware in the dishwasher. Highly recommended

Does the job
I just made meatloaf using this pan for the first time. I didn't feel there was enough room for the grease/juices to drain so I rolled up some foil in a cigar shape and placed under the two handles to raise the insert up a little more. That was enough to prevent the meat from sitting in the grease while cooking. I cooked 1 1/2 lbs. of meat (1 lb. of 80/20 ground beef and 1/2 lb. of ground pork). There was also about 1 cup of cooked veggies in the mixture. There was enough room in the pan and there was no grease overflow during cooking. I was very happy with the result and the meatloaf was not dry at all. While I was cleaning up the dinner dishes I let the pan soak in some warm, soapy water. I used a Scotch-Brite Non-Scratch Scrub Sponge and the pan cleaned up fine. I did notice that there was a little discoloration on the inside of the pan and more noticeable discoloration on the bottom of the insert. Not sure if this was due to some type of chemical reaction during cooking. I used a 350F oven. Overall, I don't have any major complaints. I just wish the insert sat a little higher but I have found a workaround for that.

Made in Minnesota, by the same folks that originally brought you Bundt pans!
Ordered two of these, one for our house, and one for a new-to-the-midwest daughter-in-law. You betcha, meat loaf is darn near the state food of Minnesota, I'm told it was only narrowly beat out by the hot dish -- which brings us to cream of mushroom soup and that state's unwritten rule of always having several cans on hand...guess you never know when a church or PTA will randomly spring a pot luck dinner on you, LOL.Pro: the trivet makes a huge difference in end product being less greasy or oily, as the loaf doesn't sit in its own fat while cooking or resting just out fo the oven. The trivet has handles, which make removing a finished loaf from the pan easy as can be. Pan size comfortably holds a 2-pound meat loaf, so one loaf is plenty for a larger family family or having guests. Pan is made from durable aluminum, solid construction and rust proof, but not the trivet...Con: trivet is made of steel so it can start to rust if you leave it soaking overnight. Pan is sized for a 2-pound meat loaf, so (if smaller family or no guests) plan accordingly for a couple days of sandwiches from the leftovers.Only complaint is really with Amazon, and their insistence on a lack of adequate packing material -- expect to get a banged up new pan out of the box. Also, depending on the Amazon fulfillment center filling your order, you may get the naturals (has an embossed logo on bottom) or the commercial (stamped logo and NSF seal on bottom) version; we got shipped one of each, but found no discernible difference between the pans other than logo application.***Update! Have since discovered Nordic Ware has a factory seconds discount store at its manufacturing facility in Minnesota. If don't mind that scratch or ding, you can choose your pan in person, at a discounted price to boot...sorry Amazon, kinda backed yourself into that competition corner by skimping on package padding :-(

Excellent buy.
The meatloaf lift-out part of the pan is awesome, it makes getting the meat out easy and keeps the meat from sitting directly in the grease. I find it is rust resistant, and it cooks bread and cakes evenly. It's easy to clean, too.

I LOVE IT
I HAD A NON-STICK PAN JUST LIKE THIS ONE BUT THAT NON-STICK COMES OFF ALL THE TIME. I KNOW ITS TOXIC BUT COULDNT FIND ANOTHER TYPE OF PAN. I WANTED STAINLESS STEEL, BUT THIS IS WAY BETTER THAN NON-STICK PAN.

Works fine
Having read the reviews about the lifter being too close to the bottom of the plan and the meat loaf still sitting in grease, immediately upon receiving the set I proceeded to bend the lifting handles enough that the meat loaf was about 1/2-3/4 inch from the bottom of the pan. I made a meatloaf this week and the pan worked great. I didn't have to bend the handles much at all in order to get them to raise the bottom of the lifter. I sprayed the pan and lifter with spray oil before using it (another hint from the previous reviews) and then I soaked the pan in soapy water overnight and it cleaned up easily in the morning. The directions suggest not putting it in the dishwasher because this might cause discoloration of the pan, so I thought I'd follow that advice. All in all, this was an excellent buy for the money and I no longer have to have my meat loaf sitting in grease when I take it out of the oven. I'm giving it 5 stars because it does exactly what I wanted it to, and the few adjustments I had to make were no problem for me.
