Good resource
Classic basket book. Lots of good techniques.

Good book.
What I'd really like is a DVD on the subject. Same deal as knitting, watching someone perform all these weaves would be much better than pictures in a book, but I'll make it work. I previously purchased a couple beginner books, and they recommended buying this one.Fortunately, we have willow growing wild all over the place, and I seem to be the only one interested in willow weaving in about a 40 mile radius. Only other weaver in our area uses reed.

Great book, just what I needed to start a project

A go-to reference for willow
Good background and covers a fair variety of commonly used European materials and techniques. Focused mainly on willow. Bought a spare to take apart and insert into clear sleeves in a loose-leaf notebook for use outside and during weaving. Paper back won't stay flat unless weight down or you break the spine.A go-to reference.

Very detailed instructions, great drawings on difficult border sequences.

Not “complete”
Not even close to being a “complete” book of basketry. There’s a good deal of information on wicker basketry, but while they mention plaiting and coiled and twined baskets in passing, there are zero instructions on those techniques. Ok for the wicker basket instructions, though

Disappointing
This book was very disappointing. No real projects, photos are poor and in black and white. Would not recommend
