I recently received an Akorn Kamado Grill as a present from my awesome wife, and it's been a lot of fun to say the least.That being said - I really needed a solution for a 2-zone cooking option - and I found this charcoal basket on Amazon.I tried it out this past weekend and this basket worked absolutely flawlessly and it is a PERFECT fit for the 20" Akorn Kamado grill.The location brings the coals right under the grill grate - which makes searing a breeze.If you have an Akorn Kamado grill - this is seriously a MUST-BUY.Note: The picture of the little hot dog was a treat for my dog - please don't judge. :-)

Because of some of the other reviews I almost did not order this charcoal basket someone put how they had to cut it to make it fit in their Weber grill? well as you can see that's not true, it fits perfectly in my 22 inch Weber grill performer.It's also much better construction than the original smaller Weber baskets also it's made of stainless steel anyways, it fits fine in a Weber 22in and I just wanted to clear that up, it works great giving me a larger hot spot of lit coals than the Weber baskets did allowing me to evenly cook more food at the same time while still giving me two temperature zones closer to a 50/50 split, anyways yeah I love it and it was totaly worth it, I hope this help somebody ....thank you. Okay I just want to add that now after 4 years of using this charcoal basket it has held up perfectly! No rust, it has not broken in any place, it has not even warped at all. A very good product!!

Use it almost every time when I'm cooking steak, ribs, or wings. It's nice to have temperature control with indirect and direct heat.

Just cooked some salmon using this baby and what a difference....best salmon I've ever cooked!This thing fit perfectly, holds the charcoal up nice and close to the grate, and allows for the two zone cooking as designed. Seems very well made like it will not fail anytime soon. Will definitely be recommending in the Akorn grilling group on Facebook! Cannot wait to get to some steaks with this thing at my disposal!

Fit wonderfully in my fully size Akorn. Tack welds and cheap rivets seem a bit worry some for how hot I get the grill at times..... Time will tell. But for now I'm enjoying them. Great for searing!

Used this multiple times on my Chargriller Akorn. Did rack of lamb and then later tomahawk steaks. The direct indirect heat worked great. This is a great tool to have in your grilling arsenal.
