Q: After opening the jar of Sprats should it be refrigerated?

If they aren't all consumed, we usually put them in a jar after opening the can and cover them with olive oil. We have refrigerated them, and not refrigerated them when out at a picnic because there was no refrigerator and they were fine ~ smoked and preserved already, but general safety reasons should prompt one to refrigerate if not fully consumed. Use the leftover oil to flavor salad dressings or use as a bread dip, delicious!

Yes, these Sprats come from the Baltic. Sprats are a type of fish known as "Pilchard" in English. They are canned in Soybean or Rapeseed oil. We know Rapeseed oil as Canola oil over here in the USA.

Q: Can the sprats in can be fried and baked and remain a good product

As good or better than any other sardine. These are excellent, and taste the way sardines did 50 years ago.

Q: If this products Certified Kosher?

Did not know of any "certification" with fish. These are sardines and have fins and scales. Google kosher fish and what is and what is not allowed.
