Limitations of this replacement remote
I purchased this remote because the supplier claimed their remote works on the BDV-E780W Home Audio System. Well it does but only to control the audio system, NOT the TV. I thought it was defective, so I ordered a replacement. I tried to program the remote to control the TV, but again I found that it doesn't. I then called Sony's technical support for assistance. I was told that the ADP070 will work with the audio system but is not able to control the TV. Unfortunately the original ADP059 remote is no longer available.Therefore, this fact should be stated in their product details. Although the remote has a TV and STB button, they're useless. This is very misleading.If you don't care to control your TV or STB, then this item will meet your needs.

... the original stopped working and this works just as good as the original
I bought this because the audio Up/down button on the original stopped working and this works just as good as the original. Very Happy!
