I was vey displeased with the product. It arrived with it's plastic container cracked and the maltose, which is the consistency similar to honey was leaking from the containerI attempted to have the probelm corrected, but was advised that the product was not available for either return, replacement or refund

Taste is good, some leakage.

I don't use this kind of product often, but a marinade for Chinese Char Siu called for it. This seemed to have done the job just fine. Since it was in a marinade with many other ingredients it is impossible to give a precise product specific review. The container is relatively small, but for my marinade, I only needed about 1/4 of the container so that seems fine. The container seals up real well after use.

Maltose is one of the ingredients called out in 'A Very Chinese Cookbook' (Kevin and Jeffrey Pang - America's Test Kitchen). I used it in the Char Siu recipe (bbq sauce). It worked great.
