Hyperkin RetroN 2 HD Gaming Console for NES/Super NES/Super Famicom(Space Black)

Plug and play doesn't get any easier. I hooked up the HDMI connection (it also comes with composite cables if you want to use them) and I was up and running. It comes with 1 NES and 1 SNES controller with EXTRA LONG cables (8 or 10ft long!) They must be plugged in on the left to be used. There are ports for another controller for each on the right.The biggest problem you might have is configuration for your TV, but that has nothing to do with the unit.

Product arrived as described! What a great way updated to revisit these childhood games without the hassles and kinks that are sometimes present with the original hardware. Definitely going to be checking out their other products!

Garbage product. Bought it hoping to play NES and SNES games and the video and audio did not work through either the HDMI or the AV unit. Returned it right away.

It works perfectly with the original Super Nintendo games, it also works perfectly with Famicom games using a Nintendo adapter (NES), it is quite convenient since it has audio, video and HDMI output. Is compatible also with super Gameboy adapter to play with Gameboy old school games

First of all, this comment is for playing games in Japan.It is different from the evaluation in the United States, so please use it as a reference only.I used "FC COMBO HDMI made by Columbus Circle" sold in Japan.I was playing Famicom and Super Famicom, but it broke.I don't use it because I have an original machine, but this FC COMBO was mainly used by my family and friends in the living room.I immediately searched for the same thing, but I could not find it in Japan, but I could find it in the United States far away.Hyperkin's products are very luxurious!Japanese consoles imitate old ones and look very cheap.Hyperkin's products are precisely made.The "H mark" on the right side of the front glows blue, and the atmosphere is very good.The body is covered with transparent skin, proving that there is no omission in the contents.The weight is heavier than the original machine, and it does not move easily during play.You don't have to freeze when you get excited!The appeal of this console is that it supports HDMI.To use it in Japan, you need a "Japanese conversion adapter for Famicom" in the NES slot.(For FC To NES 60 Pin To 72 Pin Game card cartridge Adapter Converter)The only unfortunate part is that you have to use different controllers for each NES and SNES game.It's very annoying that you can't play in common with one controller.Other than that, I like it very much.

I originally bought a $30 FC Twin that didn't fit American NES games little did I know so I had to return that. Then, went shopping for another comparable system via Amazon. After reading reviews for all the options I chose this one. The shipping on this product was super fast. I could hardly wait to unbox the console. Then I plug in my SNES library. It all worked beautifully with a superb picture and sound. My glee could hardly be contained.Then, the disappointment. I went to plug in my NES games. The picture was perfect on some of the games but the sound was atrocious not just off but out n out wrong. Others like Anticipation and Casino Kid the sounds were not only just as bad but also the picture was wrong in parts. I would ask for a refund but, I actually -like this- for an overzealous HD Super Nintendo console. Just be warned folks. This system is -not- worth the $70 they charge. I don't have a good camera or I would take pictures just to show you the screen quality on the aforementioned games that were especially bad. Don't buy this system expecting a 2 for 1 system you'll only end up disappointed like me.

This clone console is great! The Super Nintendo part is nearly perfect but the NES is not quite there, sound is off, color palette off, but it's not too bad, if you got original NES and Super Nintendo/Super Famicom carts and want an easy 2 in 1 solution this is a great choice, definitely better than a 40 year old NES that won't boot up the cart even with its short comings but definitely use OG controllers they included ones kinda suck.
