The Adventurers and the Cursed Castle: 1 Paperback – 29 Dec. 2018

I loved this. A great modern take on an old-school adventure novel, very readable, quite funny, some good plot twists - all good!

My 9 year old daughter has now read three books from this series and has just been given the first book in the Mysterious Mansion series. She absolutely loves them. She says they are fun to read, finds the characters engaging and the stories exciting. Some bits make her laugh out loud and they are a pleasure to read with her.

Good book but quite small print and the ending is quite slow

My son loves the Adventurers, he is 9 years old and can so easily identify with all of the characters. There is a mystery, adventure, friendship, a pinch of history, travel through different countries and short chapters which makes my life so much easier when reading it before night time. It's one of the books where a parent is tempted to hide under the duvet and quietly read it to the end without your child getting to notice you :-) We've read them all and can't wait for the next book!

Very pleased granddaughter already had others in th series

This tead like a knock off Famous Five story, just as well written. The plot almost identical, nothing really original and you could guess what’s going to happen before it happened.

It’s a truly captivating adventure story that will spark your child’s imagination and encourage a love of reading.The characters are likeable and interesting, and the plot is developed with humour and excitement. This wonderfully entertaining story will have you just as excited as your child for the next page.A perfect book to read with children, or for them to enjoy themselves. It is easy to read whilst using expressive language that is educational and paints a wonderful entertaining picture.I experienced great joy in reading this book and can’t wait to share it with my children - highly recommend!

This story will capture a child’s imagination and will have them excitedly reading page after page. It’s expertly written, with excitement, tension, humour and with great characters. Even as an adult reading this book I had to keep turning those pages and had several laugh-out-loud moments.There are hints of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five and Herge’s Tintin. The author has made this story captivating and entertaining, using language that is a fantastic balance of being easy enough to read for kids whilst also being educational. It’s perfect for children aged 8 and over and it’s bound to increase their enthusiasm for reading. Very highly recommended!
