Yes, the Caseta Smart Bridge will be required to operate the PD-6ANS, or any other Caseta Wireless device, from the Lutron app on an iOS or Android smart phone.

Q: I have a duplex horizontal toggle switch controlling to different lights independently. I need a smart switch to replace it. Which do you recommend?

I don't know of any single gang smart dimmer that has duplex function. This is because there is not enough space to package two sets of electronics in a single gang device

its best to use the neutral, other wise would not work properly.
