I lucked into an aftermarket HVAC system for my 1980 CJ7. Al fo the hoses needed to be assembled/swedged. I looked at all of the available options, and settled on this one, for a number of reasons. I was working on a budget, would probably only need the tool this once. Using a hydraulic or pneumatic version probably would have been faster. These systems are no joke. Solid steel, weighing a ton, and providing excellent swedges. Being a manually operated device, it takes a minute to open or close. If you're on a budget and need something that will be reliable, good quality, and provide good service, there are worse options out there.

Easy to setup and use.

Its definitely made out of steel no plastic parts.. The bolt was a little tight but a lil lube and 1/4 inch impact losen it up going back and forwards. Just make sure the line u crimping is for this style Die ..It also says don’t use an impact gun .. That’s why I use the 1/4 get it set then check and finish tightening with Box end wrench .. It worked for me .. just be careful not to over tighten the crimp..

This was exactly what I needed to complete an A/C install on my classic car! Easy to use!

This unit does the job, however it doesn't crimp as shown in most pictures. I pinches the fitting in between the two dies more in an oval shape. Hope they don't leak.

Great value and very is to use. I put AC in my 58 chevy and had to make up a lot of lines with bulk head fittings and no leaks .

Hola no recomiendo comprar este artículo yo compré dos de estos. Y tuve una muy mala experiencia resulta que en este producto la muela de 13/32 viene con falla de fabrica en ambos q compre ambas muelas vinieron con esa falla . Quiere decir q todas vienen así. Producto de mala calidad no pierdan su dinero.

That it does not make crimps as shown in the picture and description. The crimps on the picture are across the fitting while the ones the crimper makes are alone the fitting...I don't know right now if it's gonna work because the only way to tell is to finish all the fittings and put it under pressure/vacuum and by then if it doesn't work I have wasted time and money both on the fittings and the crimper.
