For such a little guy, it packs a punch. The pictures online dont do this baby beast justice, its small, and thats a good thing! If youre looking for a portable AM/FM, CD, USB stick and Bluetooth compatible "boombox", look no further. This is an all arounder, it does what you'd want a good portable radio for around $100 to do.Connected fast and easy to my iPhone, iPad and tried it out on my Mac, and even Apple TV, bluetooth connection is a breeze and works flawless. If youre listening to music on the radio, cd, YouTube or anything else on your phone or tablet, the audio carried to this radio sounds incredible, again, especially at such a small size.If youre listening to music of any kind, just hit the mega bass button on the front of the radio, if youre listening to more podcasts and talk, turn the mega bass off, its a good sounding experience all around. One thing I havent heard anyone mention about this radio that some may appreciate knowing is that on the front, in the middle, on the very bottom you'll notice a small opening across the center of the radio, from speaker to speaker, this is a small bass air port, and in some cases you can feel the air kicking out, its a sweet little unit.I just want to reiterate the size of this thing is, to me, its selling point. Use it at the dining room table, on the patio, in the yard, at the cookout, wherever, its small and lightweight and the battery time is a little better than advertised. I definitely get over 15 hours of bluetooth playback on C size energizer batteries with volume between 15-20, max volume is 30.This little guy is batting well above his weight limit, buy it if portability matters most.

The CD/USB Player is Perfect For Me
I was looking for a CD player that also has a USB flash drive port, so I can play MP3 files that I have on my flash drives. However, I needed it to play the files in random order, so when I turn it on, it doesn't always start with the same songs every time I turn it on. My goal was to have a player that when I went to bed, all I had to do is turn it on and pretty much just press play and it play random songs.Well, after doing a lot of searching, I found this CD/USB flash drive player and I am extremely pleased with it, as it does exactly what I needed and wanted it to do! It plays the songs on the USB flash drive in random order, so all I have to do it turn it on and since I have it set to play in random order, all I have to do is press play. What makes it nicer is it also has a timer, which can be set for 15. 30. 60 or 90 minutes, so I can either let it play all night long or have it shut off automatically. The sound quality is great, but it the player doesn't go extremely loud. It is plenty loud enough for one large room, but I don't know if it would be loud enough for 3 rooms, such as a home with an open floor plan, unless placed in the middle. It works perfect for me, as I don't need it loud when I go to bed.The Player does have some other features that I will never use, so I don't know how well they work. When I went to write a review, it did ask me to rate the remote control, but it doesn't come with one, so I had to give it 1 star for that feature. Overall, I am very satisfied with the player and the only thing that I would have liked about it is if it did play a little louder, just in case I wanted to put it in our living room, I'm not sure if I could hear it that loud in our kitchen.

Finally, just what I was looking for.
I reviewed a ton of Portable CD Players trying to find what I wanted. It was not easy. This one finally met all my qualifications. It has all of its buttons on the front or top of the player, will easily store 10 am stations and 20 fm stations, and has 3 separate buttons for your top 3 radio stations. They are easy to change and easy to set. Everything shows on the digital screen in front. And I can record my CDs to USB if I want as well as play my phone through the player. All the other players I looked at had issues with setting radio stations, having buttons hard to access or had no am radio at all, and some didn't even show everything needed on the digital screen. I am very happy with my purchase.

The last Audio (or AV) equipment I'll ever buy from SONY
I purchased this boombox in Spring of 2020, and though it was unimpressive sound-wise, it was still acceptable compared to some others I had checked out. The bluetooth was useful and the ability to play MP3s off a data disc was very handy. I was replacing a much older SONY unit that had gotten finicky over the years, and for a while it seemed like this model might have a long lifespan too.Unfortunately, this was not the case. While the radio and bluetooth features are still functional, the disc player is garbage. Discs that it has played previously now get hung up within a few seconds of starting playback. It doesn't matter if it is a commercially produced CD, a home recorded CD-R, or even an MP3 data disc. I've cleaned the discs, cleaned the laser lens, unplugged the unit to let it "rest"....everything but pray for celestial intervention. What a disappointment to discover that the CD unit had a lifespan that barely exceeded the manufacturers warranty.Bottom line, it's still usable as a portable radio, or as a mediocre bluetooth speaker, but I could have spent a lot less than 90 bucks if those were the only features I cared about. I know we all wind up with a dud now and then, but once I reflected on all the SONY AV equipment I've bought over the last thirty years...cassette players, CD players, amplifiers, VCRs, TVs, DVD players, etc....I realized that their track record with me has been pretty lousy. I can own up to making a bad choice, but SONY has made it easy for me to avoid making another one with them.In my opinion, you are taking your chances if you buy one of these particular units.
