These were used on a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, to replace the 13-year old OEM units. Snapped right in; perfect fit, and worked great! The hold the heavy steel hood up well... no more getting bonked in the head when the hood comes down unexpectedly!

Works for 2009 CVPI
Hood struts were starting to fail and replaced them with these. The hood rises very firmly now and they are very easy to replace. Pop the old struts off with a flat head and push the new ones on in the same orientation. Took five minutes. Only longevity remains to be determined.
