Once We Figured It Out...
The kit came with everything needed to assemble - except instructions on how to assemble! Luckily, we are a pretty smart bunch of gals (both of my adult daughters and me, their Momma) so we finally figured it out, after trial and error - and in spite of one of the lens covers cracking. Here's what made our kaleidoscopes turn out so nicely:1. self-adhesive "glitter" paper (instead of using tape to "attach" the standard paper included in the kit, we used Dollar Tree's "Crafter's Square" line of vinyl paper rolls - in the cutting machine craft section)2. better-quality stickers3. a selection of colorful glass beads from my own stash. The plastic beads that came in the kit were simple & "dull" so if you choose to use your own beads, make sure they are clear, colorful, and **small**!We also needed to peel the protective film from the mirrors before taping them together in a triangular form (mirrors facing each other). If you don't tape the mirrors together they will eventually collapse onto each other and you'll wind up taping them together anyways. The plastic lens, bead cover & end cap arrive "together" so before you place your beads in the end cap, make sure you pull out the single plastic cover that goes over the beads (and which also has a protective film to be removed). Important note: if you use **large** beads the plastic cover will crack from the pressure when you place the end cap onto the tube. And, as other reviewers have mentioned, the 3 tubes are NOT the same length (so if you have "picky" kids, just know up front there may be some squabbling about "who gets which one"😊).All-in-all, we enjoyed putting these together. We made lots of great memories that will come to mind whenever we look through our 'scopes. It truly was fun to decorate them and to experiment with various bead colors, sizes, and transparency... maybe we will make this an annual Christmas tradition!

Really wanted to like this kit
I ordered one kit to test out for a craft activity that I planned to do with a large group of children as part of community service project. Our team really needed something that provided all the materials in an easy to assemble format due to the volume that we planned on making. Overall the kit contents seemed to be good quality, however two of the mirrors and decorative paper provided to wrap two of the tubes was too short. Seems like someone messed up and included the shorter length mirror and paper for all the tubes (I received two long tubes and one short tube). Another reviewer stated that the shorter mirrors didn't work as well in the longer tubes. Given our application, I just decided to return. Too many issues for the volume we needed. Maybe easier to remedy if you are just making a few at home.

Great Value, Fun Craft
This was a very fun and easy craft. I got this for my kids (ages 4 and 6) to complete with my sister's kids (ages 5 and 7), and they were able to put everything together with a little bit of help. There are **no instructions** so you have to look at the ones in the listing photo. Also, there are 2 different sizes of tubes, so you have to match the paper wrappers to the correct size. The wrappers and stickers aren't as nice as they look in the photos, so that was a bit of a bummer. The hardest part of the entire process is peeling the film off **both sides** of the plastic disc that holds the gems in the cup. It was nice that everything can be assembled without glue or scissors, too.For the price, it's a fantastic craft.

Poorly designed but fun anyway
The kit came with 3 tubes: two long ones and a small one. The sheets of wrapping paper were not long enough for the longest tubes. The mirrors are not long enough either, and the beads fall on either end instead of staying in the mirror triangle (cut the tube). The piece of plastic in the eye piece is scratched so it’s blurry. It’s poorly designed and poorly executed. The kids had fun with it anyway and enjoyed them without the cap. Parents: 5 min to assemble; 30 min of fun.

Peel the plastic film off!
I was hesitant to buy these because of the reviews saying the mirrors were not reflective enough. I even went out and bought chrome craft paper to wrap around them. Then when I was repositioning the paper, a plastic film peeled off with it. The mirrors are super shiny a reflective and work perfectly! There's also a film on both sides of the plastic disc that holds the beads in the end. So make sure to peel all that off first!Instructions would be helpful but they're not too hard to figure out.I will say, I ordered 3 sets and for some reason 2 are shorter than the rest? And some of the little sticker sheets are missing. But I'm leaving it at 5 stars because I think the ratings are lower than they should be because some people couldn't figure out the assembly.

Kaleidoscopes aren't worth the price
These kaleidoscopes come with no directions on how to assemble them. They also come in two different sizes, 4 inches and 7 1/2 inches in length. Unfortunately, the outside decorative paper is all the same size, 4 inches in length. This does not do justice to the longer size. I cut paper for the longer ones in order to make them passable. The only way to manipulate them is to turn them as a unit. If you try and turn the end, holding the beads, it fall off. Pretty flimsy at best and definitely not worth $3 each!

Look in the eyepiece for the disc to cover bead container.
Grandson had a good time making these. the paper covering the tube had to be trimmed or the plastic covers would not fit. All in all was a good experience and helped demonstrate reflected images. We experimented with putting other things in bead container such as chunky glitter & holographic cellophane..

Good kit for the price
Fun little kit! Decorative paper was different than the picture, but that’s fine. Instructions are in the product photos if you need them. Came with one short and two long tubes. My kids enjoyed these quite a bit and they were easier to put together than I expected.
