Replacement capacitor saved us hundreds of dollars instead of replacing the microwave.
This capacitor saved us hundreds of dollars. Our microwave stopped working. I looked for a possible solution on Youtube and it said that the HV Capacitors often fail, and mine did. Replaced it and all is well again.Be aware, you need to match the capacitor value (uF) pretty closely or else you may not get the power you had originally (slower cook times, etc).

works great
I was worried at first as it was noticeably smaller than the part I was replacing, but it worked great. I hope it lasts as well.

Fixed My Montgomery Wards MicroWave in Minutes
Microwave has been warming up Coffee and Pizza for a week now, I feel confident it is fixed. My Microwave was blowing the internal 15 amp fuse. Recently we had several Grid "Brown Outs," and the capacitor in our A/C had to be replaced. So, I opened up the microwave, found it also had a capacitor, found a similar one on Amazon, read the CAUTIONS about getting zapped, Dis-charged the capacitor three times and replaced it with this one which was slightly stronger with respect to the micro-Farad rating ( see photo of the original capacitor). It took me less than five minutes to replace the old capacitor. Take photos of the wires and the diode ( I marked them with black and green tape as you can see in the photo's, the black test leads are there to discharge the capacitor). I was stunned to see inside the label that stated it was manufactured in Japan in Feb 1980. It took five minutes to fix the problem and thirty minutes to vacuum out 41 years of Dust. Did I mention to watch the videos on discharging the capacitor? I watched them all twice and discharged the capacitor (which was dead) three times. Not a bad fix for a few bucks, the Wife loves this microwave and cried the day it puked. Now I occasionally walk on water.

Perfect Replacement for my 30-year-old GE Dual Wave II P7 Microwave Oven/Combo Unit
After 30-years of reliable service, the magnetron went out in my GE Dual Wave II P7 Microwave Oven/Combo Wall-Mounted Unit with Conventional Oven. Given the difficult in just getting to the magnetron in such a unit, I knew I was going to go ahead and replace the capacitor and diode as well. This cap matched the specs from the original, so I went with it. So far all is working well. The cap came quick and is as described.

OEM or Aftermarket ?
This capacitor was 1/4 the price of an OEM replacement capacitor. When I compared it to the failed capacitor in my GE Microwave, it was the exact replacement. Same Manufacturer, Same Part Number. It fit and worked properly and now my microwave is back in service.
