Great for Deep Chested Breeds
I have been through multiple harnesses (both regular and no-pull) for my German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) The problem with the other harnesses is they all wrap around the chest. The HALT harness changes all that because it wraps under the front arms instead of the chest. This is a game changer for me because it is the first and only harness I have found that fits my GSP perfectly. I would highly recommend this product for deep chested dogs like GSPs, Weimaraners, Greyhounds, and Dobermans. I rated this product only four stars because it is not very effective with regard to stopping the dog from pulling. It does work a little, and if you get the HALT double leash (connects at the neck and back), then you will have a lot more control. Nonetheless, the pulling may still be an issue - especially with strong, super-energetic, predator dogs like GSPs.

Effective Solution for Pulling Problems
I've been using the HALTI No Pull Harness for my medium-sized dog, and it's been a game changer for our walks. As a DIY enthusiast, I appreciate tools and gadgets that make tasks easier, and this harness fits the bill perfectly. What I really like about this harness is how it immediately reduces my dog's pulling. The design is simple yet effective, making our walks much more enjoyable. It's also adjustable, so getting the right fit was easy, and my dog seems comfortable wearing it.The reflective material is a nice touch, adding an extra layer of safety during our evening strolls. It's lightweight, which means my dog doesn't feel burdened, and I appreciate that it doesn't look bulky on him.On the downside, it took a bit of time for my dog to get used to the harness. He was a bit uncomfortable at first, but with a little patience and positive reinforcement, he adapted quickly. This harness has made a significant difference in our daily walks, reducing the strain on both of us. It's an excellent tool for dog training, and I'm pleased with how it has improved our outdoor time. If you're struggling with a pulling dog, this harness is definitely worth a try.

Hard to move the slider
Works fairly well on my german shepherd, he pulls hard and it does help with that, and when tight he cant escape like the other style harness .Only thing I dont like is the slider is hard to move down

GAME CHANGER for my anxious dog!
This review is based on the use of the Halti harness, the Halti training leash (2-sided), and a prong collar/head halter.Ever since moving to a dense, downtown area of a large city, my bigger brindle girl is terrified every time we leave the apartment. She has always been anxious (abuse from when she was a puppy), but never to the point that she would refuse to go for a run (her favorite thing). Before this, she would only walk 200 feet from my building before pulling us back inside.I bought this with the expectation of controlling her anxiety-based pulling, but WOW. She is so much calmer with it, and was able to walk 30 minutes, over a bridge, to a large farmer’s market the very first time she wore it. I pair this harness with her prong collar and the Halti 2-sided leash, and the combination seems to be a real winner.Pros:- The “force” of pulling is decreased drastically, and I found myself never being yanked around compared to when using a single-point connection on another harness.- The force from the tightening of the harness (and prong collar) is distributed across the body, which lessens the likelihood of chafing or injury.- Very easy to put on (my dog doesn’t like to squeeeeze her head through harness openings).- Sturdy and no signs of wear (so far), despite daily use.Cons:- Doesn’t really work if you are trying to pull the dog forward when they are behind you or if the dog backs up. With the 2-sided Halti leash, redirecting is definitely easier, though.- Similarly, if your dog plants or reverses behind you, they can wiggle out of the harness if it is loose enough.- The underarm padding often shifts around, so half the time I don’t bother adjusting it for short walks. While I use Ruffwear harnesses for hiking, this harness is my favorite harness so far for daily use.

Very pleased with this product
This leash is great for my dog. At first I was skeptical, but when I tried it in just one day I saw a difference in walking my dog. He does not pull, it is easy to put on and take off, no choking or discomfort to my dog. I have finally found a walking training leash that works.

Good
Great harness for my ridgeback pitbull mixSince he has no fluff to his coat everything agitates his armpits /bellyThis fits great, the straps to go under the armpit are so soft and the chest plate is light weight . Only thing I dislike is the fastener to tighten/loosen the straps doesn’t stay in place most of the time . But the build is great and it feels secure on him
