Overall Positive
This product was shipped rapidly. It has relative few parts. It is not complicated to understand how it works to suspend a computer CPU beneath a desktop or a rigid horizontal surface. One must have adequate space to mount the bracket as the mounting surface is a bit longer than it appears. The "C" shaped CPU bracket is heavy duty black painted metal with a granular textured surface. The horizontal slide bracket is black gloss enamel. The only plastic components are the sliding CPU clamp, a couple runners within the sliding bracket, and a stop plate to keep the suspending bracket from "exiting" the front of the slide accidentally onto the floor. The swivel portion is stiff and takes more exertion to turn than I expected, but this is not a problem, as how often does one need to swivel the CPU? IF it were too loose, that would be a problem I imagine. This unit took me literally 15 minutes to mount using the bracket as a template. A paper template is included, but would be more cumbersome. I used a cordless drill, an appropriate collared bit so as not to drill through the desk top, and a Phillips screwdriver to place the 6 included screws. Pay attention to how you orient your unit so that the CPU can be centered in the supporting bracket. Other reviews stated the CPU could be tipsy- as it is not mechanically attached or belted on. I needed to especially compress the plastic clamp arm to clasp the CPU. One other item- the supporting metal "C" portion of the bracket which holds the CPU is adjustable vertically, similar to adjustable shelf brackets. It took a rubber mallet to knock it loose from how it was shipped- perhaps the paint was a bit "stuck", but no damage, and easily readjusted by hand thereafter.I would purchase this unit again.

Pretty neat and cool !!!
I purchased this mount to acquire more desk space on top my desk.I had looked at and read a lot of reviews from other cpu mounts. I'd noticed this one had a more sturdy look to it and all the reviews I read were very good. After I received the mount,I installed it easily ( follow the simple instructions ). This mount firmly holds the computer. You can move the computer forward or backward, and whatever position you leave your computer the mount sort of lock or tightly holds the computer in a stationary position. The computer fits tightly inside the mount bracket and it does not swivel or lean. It's pretty neat ....and it looks cool.Highly recommend !! !!!!!!!

Works well enough but feels kinda cheap for the price.
It does work, just feels a bit cheap. I have a larger case (Fractal Design - Define S) which more than fits the dimensions it says it can hold but the bottom plate of this holder is only about half the width of my case which cause the whole case and holder to lean to the right (the side with the metal brace). And the other shorter arm is just plastic and does NOT sit flush with the left side of my case at all.It DOES hold it, secure enough (I don't feel it'll fall out) but the whole thing is kind of wobbly at best. Maybe if it were $50 I'd give it 5-stars but for $80 it seems fair cheap quality. And I've used 3M PC holders at work in the past and they were very nice, but I guess where I worked sprung for more expensive ones as those at least had two metal arms versus this ones one metal and one plastic.

Perfect for small PCs (weighing around 20lb or less)
Perfect for small PCs (weighing around 20lb or less). The construction is very solid, all steel. But bummer! the main part that holds the entire PC and pivots, is made of plastic. And because of that, I could not use this for my Dell T5500 workstation. No way it will hold that kind of weight for long time! So I stick my son's HP in it and it has enormous difference under his desk.it is so much clean and organized. The best part is, it slides and rotates 360 degrees, so accessibility behind the PC is not at all obstructed. Highly recommended for PCs, but not for workstations, those will be way too heavy for this.

Floorspace, Access and Utility
The media could not be loaded. I recently moved into a home working situation which brought my work laptop and it's docking station, along with a 19" monitor. My desk was getting crowded with my dual monitors from my tower unit, and I had put the tower on the floor. Thinking that there had to be a better solution, I found the 3M adjustable CPU mount. The unit shipped and arrived quickly - the instructions were easy to understand and the unit required minimal assembly. I would recommend a cordless drill to do the installation. That and a pencil to mark where I wanted to drill the pilot holes.Since I only occasionally use my DVD/CD drive, the fact that the CPU mount is on a track that gives me over a foot of play comes in REALLY handy - Most of the time, I can leave the CPU tucked and rotated well back into the corner of my under desk area. When needed, I can easily pull it forward, pop open the DVD drive and not make myself nutz making certain I haven't crimped cords or damaged any of my other connections.Really getting value out of this item.
