Yamaha WS-865A Professional Tom Stand (YESS)

Been wanting this for my oak custom floors for a long time. Got this as an open box. Nothing was wrong with it. Wide leg spread and solid.

It's a Yamaha, what else can anyone say? Always providing great products for musicians. I use it with a 12" tom and a 16" thin crash with arm. Works awesome!!!

This is a stout base. I currently have a suspended rack mount floor tom, a ride cymbal and a China-type cymbal mounted on this stand and no problem with stability whatsoever. The tom is a 14x12, but I feel like if I wanted to mount a 16x14 next to it, the stand would readily accept that as well. Great Yamaha build quality-they do it right.

Years of overtightening my old tom mounts lead to one of them busting apart at the clamp. I wanted to change my setup a bit anyway, so I decided to purchase this tom stand with clamps. They are the same great quality as my hardware that is nearly 20 years old, and I'm hoping they will hold up to the abuse just as well!Definitely recommend if you need to replace old, worn out drum hardware!

Best stands out there if you have extra toms or a lot of cymbals and you don't want to buy a rack system. I place one of these on each side of my drumset plus I have one the three cymbal/tom holder coming out of my bass drum, so I basically have 9 things being held off of 3 stands. These are pricey but definitely worth it. It's better to buy one of these for 110 bucks and three cymbal arms for about 30-35 a piece then buying three cymbal stands for about 100 a piece (maybe even more if you compared quality).

Yes. Great for my floating 14 and 16 Tom. It has the stance you need for two toms. I also put my ride cymbal in here sometimes with just one Tom. It's low and heavy!

Bought this because I wanted to isolate my toms. I used the tom mounts that came with my Yamaha Kit. This stand has seriously thick double braced legs. No worries with tipping over with a 10 & 12 tom (its deigned for 14/16"). Noticeable decrease in resonance spread from the bass drum to toms (and vice versa), and a about a 30% increase in tom sustain (not as much as I'd like - looking at additional isolated mounts).

Exactly what I was looking for! Was able to put a floor tom and cymbal arm on my hi hat side. Worked out great! This product is exactly as advertised.
