Palmer'sCocoa Butter Formula Natural Bronze Body Lotion, 8.5 Ounces (Pack of 3)

I've recently acquired a sun allergy that makes it impossible to get any sort of tan via sun or tanning bed. I've been using Palmer's Cocoa butter lotion for over 30 years for my entire body including face so I felt a little more at ease trying this product. After only 2 applications I had a nice color that was dark enough for me. No streaks, goes on easy and not orange but natural looking. I did however fail to be cautious with my elbows but that was my fault for putting it on like I put my regular lotion on. The smell doesn't actually stink but is very distinct and not as pleasant as the regular Cocoa butter lotion so I probably would not put it on again before I go somewhere. I'm very satisfied with this product.

I like this lotion! I’m very fair and it creates some nice and natural tan color with very little effort (just apply the lotion like you would any body lotion but take care to wear gloves or wash your hands afterward and BLEND WELL!) I haven’t detected that usual self tanner distinct smell with this lotion and it does seem to moisturize well in addition to creating that sun kissed look (at a great value, too!)

First of all, let me say I'm a Palmer's fanatic. Next, let me say I haven't used a self tanner for probably 25 years when I used to splurge on Estee Lauder and I was young and sexy. I remember the crazy expensive stuff being very potent and you had to be super careful applying it (and letting it dry without moving) or you'd get stripes on the backs of your ankles. The Palmer's isn't like that. I usually use Palmer's classic or coconut oil body lotion; this self tanner isn't as thick as these, but is very smooth and more fluid - but still a good moisturizer. It's a light cream color and goes on smoothly. It smells a little different from the classic cocoa butter lotion, definitely not as strong...but still nice. As for the tanning: It does, in fact, produce a gradual tan. Just enough for me so I don't look so pale as warm weather arrives. I am 59 and have a number of age spots (sigh, years of tennis in the summer sun). I have NOT noticed any darkening of my spots, which is the only good thing I can say about them. SO. Overall, this is a nice, gentle self-tanning lotion. I love Palmer's products and I can recommend this with confidence.

Love this lotion! Color is so nice noticed a slight change in just one use. Absorbs quick, not greasy at all and I didnt have to stand there waiting for it to dry. Some reviews said it smelled bad so I was alittle afraid to use, smelling it straight from the bottle it doesn't smell as good as their body lotions but after applying it it smells like chocolate! I think people need to remember that just like perfume a product can smell different on everyone due to their chemical makeup. What it smells like on my skin may not be what it smells like on you. But after using it for 3 days I have a significant sun kissed glow! Will definitely be buying more!🌞

Do not buy this "package of 3" from this seller because you will only receive 1 bottle. I ordered this item, first time only came with 1 bottle. Requested a replacement of the other two.. long story short, I had to order the item again & of course I only received 1 bottle in my second shipment. This is ridiculous because the item is $40. I would never buy a bottle, no matter how well it worked, for that amount.The lotion is wonderful & gives you a great gradual tan. If you happen to miss a spot, put another layer on & it smooths out the color. It is great. If you miss a day, definitely expect to not be as tan.. So product works well but it fades so fast!

Since this was a gradual tanning product, I was not expecting how strongly it smelled nor how orange I would get in one use. I haven’t been able to use it more than once. I love Palmer products but idk why this one is so strong when it’s supposed to be gradual three stars because they are a set of three and it has a good amount of product for the price. If you are okay with fake tanner smell and are already medium tone skin this product works
