I bought this to keep a Mid-2009 MBP on life support as I waited for the latest gen M1 Macs to hit the market. The battery was super easy to install with the included tools, and it even came with spare case screws that are inevitably missing on these old machines. Battery life was pretty solid, about 4-5 hours of normal use, which was pretty much the same as when I got the laptop originally.However, after getting my new laptop and relegating the '09 to a shelf on a charger for occasional x86 work, I found it unplugged after last using it a couple weeks prior. The battery was completely dead and would not even try to take a charge. I replaced it with the original 13-year-old battery, which still gave the MBP about 30 minutes of power despite 1500+ charge cycles and several deep discharges. So this replacement isn't quite at that quality level, but probably would have been fine for a while longer if I babied it a bit more.With that in mind, this battery gets 5-stars for the support by the seller. Despite being near the end of the generous warranty period, they offered a refund or replacement after providing useful troubleshooting tips. Since I don't have much use for that laptop anymore, I took the refund, but I'll definitely check with this seller first for future Macbook battery needs!

Bought this battery to replace the one in my son's Macbook Pro. Be sure to select the proper battery for your model Macbook Pro. This kit comes with everything you need to replace your battery, the special screwdrivers are a most for anyone not use to doing this kind of work and the extra screws are a big plus. The instructions are very good and the installation is easy to do. This is a high quality kit and fit and function are an exact replacement. Be sure to charge and cucle your new battery as instructed to insure a long useful life.

Got it up to ~6500mAh after calibration.Process:charge to 100%, turn off power saving/sleep on battery; Keep in cold environment, discharge until dead, clear smc[detach battery and hold power button in 10s, plug in again], plug in OEM charger. Star computer and clear nvram/command-opt-p-r, allow to boot, log in. Put it to sleep. Close the laptop and leave it plugged in overnight and forget about it. Restart computer, clear smc/nvram.Use.I do this with all of them and often I’ll get the batteries that show the incorrect %, or you’ll get to ~half gone and it’ll suddenly go to 7% or something and discharge unpredictably.It’s frustrating to find an aftermarket MacBook battery that works like it’s supposed to, even when you do the calibration correctly.The puredick would not let me down, though. I am satisfied and very impressed with performance and reliability. I bought it over the ninjabatt because the price was better despite very close *rating.I do not regret the decision. I love the pureD.

Degrades significantly faster than the original battery, but a good cheap replacement.

2nd Update 7/6/2021:Recently replaced battery died only after 3 months AND I barely use my mac(only for DJing) during covid and AT MOST 20 hours total. Dead. Sent email to Joe from company (who was helpful for FIRST return/exchange) has not responded in 4 days. Wish I went w/a different company. So many headaches involved with having to replace and experience the laptop dying and not saving my work or project or anything. Super frustratingupdated 3/10/2021:New replacement battery arrived 5 days from email response from company. No need to send defective one back which was good. customer service was helpful and sent me replacement battery quickly and with little to no hassle. only problem I found was just finding email to reach out too. once i did some digging, the replacement started quickly. A+ for effort and A+ for quick shipping on replacementBought this for my secondary MacBook that I only use 1-2 times a week for about 3-4 hours total in 1 week. When I first installed, it was pretty easy and straight fwd. luckily there's plenty of youtube videos to show how to do it. Battery worked GREAT at first and was able to use (unplugged) for more than 1 week without having to charge.By end of January, I noticed the battery percentage dropping substantially during usage. i only use one specific app (no internet browsing) called SERATO for my DJ hobby. I now started to have to plug in power cord for my macbook during usage. now that it's 1st week of march2021, my MacBook can only be used while plugged in!Battery alert icon reads I need to replace asap. Such a waste, do not by this product.——-

I believe I purchased this item in August. I kid you not it still works pretty amazing. The battery lasts 4-5 hours. After my horrific used battery story last year from a different seller and experience with UPS, I warded off the idea of ever buying a new battery again. So I'd just run up the electricity bill by keeping my Mac on the adapter as I used it. I know. Idiotic. But I'm happy with this battery. I've since gotten a new laptop and I'm trying not to just push my Mac baby of 12 years to the side so occasionally I cut it on and the battery still holds true to 4+ hours. Thank you!
