AKG for the win
I've used AKG wireless systems before. I decided it was time to upgrade my old mini 40 system. i have not experienced any drops in almost two years of owning. Signal is strong and crystal clear. It affordable and for our setting more than adequate.

Great bang for the buck
Save your money and buy it cause it doing the same job as the other two titans in the microphone war Shure and Sennheiser which are more expensive . Worked really well at wedding ceremony I did .

OK, but read this first!
I formerly used a high end AKG WMS4000. I had 2 of them, with one receiver mounted on my pedal board to receive signal from my guitar, and also a transmitter on that board, which sent the signal to a 2nd receiver at my amp. Recently, both units stopped outputting audio. As I'm no longer touring, I realized that I no longer needed such an expensive and high end unit, and I stumbled across one of these on eBay, brand new, for an irresistible price. So, I went to set it up today and made a very annoying discovery. As I mentioned, I had my receiver on my pedal board, and it was being powered by a typical pedal board power supply from the supply's 12VDC 500ma jack. Like all pedal board supplies I've ever seen, the jacks are wired, tip negative. While most of the rest of the world uses tip positive, the guitar pedal industry, long ago, adopted tip negative as an industry standard for power supplies/adaptors. The only reason for this was to force their customers to buy their power adaptors from them, as most people don't know where to find tip negative generic adaptors (I do!). So, I placed this AKG unit on my board and used the same plug that was plugged into my old AKG receiver, and was surprised when the receiver didn't power up. So, as I quick test, I grabbed the included power adaptor that came with it and plugged it in. Then, the receiver powered up! So, I took a closer look at the markings on the receiver at the power jack, and the thing is wired, tip positive - opposite the industry standard and opposite how AKG used to wire their receivers' power jacks! So, I had to take the cord that connects from the my pedal board power supply to the receiver into my shop, cut it and reverse the 2 wires I just cut, soldering them and using shrink tubing to insulate and cover the mod. Now, that's a serious pain in the ass that most buyers won't have either the tools, or the skills to preform. Shame on AKG!!! As for how well the unit functions, the jury is still out. Tonally, I found it more difficult to get it to sound the same as when I used a cable from guitar to amp. But, this is mostly due to the, Volume & Gain controls. But, with more tweaking than I felt I should have needed to do, I did get it right. So, for the money, it's not bad. But, if you're planning on using a typical pedal board power supply to power it, be prepared to make a modified cord to connect it. Same thing if you happen to have a 12VDC 500ma (or higher) tip positive supply, already, that you plan to use, be prepared to make the above mod to its cord! Again, shame on AKG!!!
