A little goes a long way with the stuff! I can't taste any flavor in it even though I think mine is mint? Basically just expect somewhat of a soap flavor.. I add their cinnamon powder and a drop of their gum product.. adds a refreshing element to this product! All in all I'm happy with it and I use it daily :-)

If you're like me, dental hygiene is high on your priorities. I'm still old school, no electric toothbrushes for me, but I do use a Waterpik, toothbrush, and floss at least twice daily. That being said, I don't have sensitive teeth, so I opt for whitening toothpaste that polishes and freshens without the use of SLS, which causes my mouth discomfort. I use the alkalizing toothpaste from Uncle Harry once daily, usually when I get home from work. When I saw the tooth suds, I thought, oh, those will be good for bedtime brushing, and I just got home freshening. I didn't look at the ingredients, I just opted to buy blindly because I've liked all the Uncle Harry’s products I've tried, don't be fooled, this is a bar of soap whipped up with maybe a dash of peppermint oil, and put in a small jar. I use castile soap, it's nothing new to me, I buy it regularly, and while I wouldn't opt to use my lightly fragranced Kirk’s as toothpaste, the unscented variety would be fine, and a heck of a lot cheaper than this. a waste of money to wash your mouth with soap, as far as alkalizing I have no idea, but if it is, just buy a bar of soap, taste would be the same.

I love it! It tastes just like traditional toothpaste, but leaves my mouth feeling much cleaner. It does have a salty taste and can leave my lips feeling dry and slightly stinging as though they have been exposed to too much salt, but I have very sensitive lips. Otherwise I love it very much and it is exactly what I have been looking for in a mouth care product. I especially love that it foams up like traditional toothpaste!

This tooth soap leaves my teeth super clean. Just a little goes a loooong way. My dentist is amazed at my oral hygiene! And I love the minty taste. Highly recommend it. Update from my last review: I still love the product; however, my last purchase was a gift for my brother, and this time the jar came all smeared with product on the outside, despite its looking perfectly wrapped with the outer cellophane “safety” seal. A suggestion would be to put a safety seal on the mouth of the jar, just inside the lid, to prevent the product from leaking. This is the reason why I took away one star. Update: I gave back its 5th star as this time the jar came perfectly sealed, although packing is still the same (no inner seal.) I still love this tooth soap. It is my favorite product for keeping my teeth clean. I also use it to brush my tongue. Yeah!

I feel like it does a good job of cleaning, however, it does taste like soap and I can't always stand the flavor.

OMG!!! I just used this for the first time and WOWEE! My mouth feels immaculate. My teeth feel like they were just professionally cleaned and everyone in the house says they are whiter! But seriously....it's how it makes my mouth feel that blows me away!!. It is soap, so it does not taste like toothpaste. But it wasn't "gross" or "horrible" like some reviewers have said. I kinda like it, in fact. It takes a very small amount to create a mouthful of suds, so use sparingly on your brush. But you gotta try this. I can't wait til morning when I can use it again. I am hyper-sensitive to strong mint or baking soda & peroxide in toothpastes. My gums sting and then peel. This did not burn in any way and the feeling after brushing is just super fresh and clean, not mint overkill. I love this!!

I love this stuff. It's all natural. The ingredients are "incredibly antiseptic". I love that they wrote that in there and it doesn't feel like an exaggeration in the slightest. So when you use it, start off by scooping some of the soap lightly just getting the tip of your brush with not even a pea size amount and get it going in your mouth and you should notice right away how much that little bit WL foam up. Then from there use as desired to clean your mouth and teeth and tongue, don't forget that. I think the fact that a little goes a long way and a little packs a BIG punch in terms of foaming action and cleansing, it's a fantastic value. Adding to that, you have the benefits of this being a completely natural cleaning soap free of any chemicals or harmful ingredients. Nothing much natural freshness in a cute, high quality glass jar.
