Handy to convert PWM to DC but needs at least one PWM fan.
I bought this to control 3 DC fans that came with a case as the motherboard I was using was a little light on fan connectors. It works great and the fans are controlled correctly, but to get a fan rotation back to the motherboard it needs a PWM fan in the FAN1 connector. In my case a PWM version of the same fan was available and once that was plugged in everything was happy and the motherboard BIOS reported fan speed.

Fantastic!
From trying to use 6 fans with my motherboard using two ports, this is the ONLY fan hub which allowed my pc to boot past the bios.Decent build quality and easy to install.I can finally get full power from my Noctua's!

Perfect solution for DC and PWM fans
Perhaps the best product for basic fan control on the market. This unit accepts DC motherboard control signals, so you can run PWM fans from DC headers properly, but crucially, whilst ALSO using DC fans. We've used this for recycling old motherboards into working modern computers, which inevitably use DC headers, but only have 1 or 2. This controller allows us to put 4/5 fans in a case, PWM, LED, the lot - all off 1 chassis header.I wanted to 5 star it, but I've not tested it for a long time, so can't comment on reliability. Also, it's crying out for more ports. Another row of 5/6 headers on the back side would have made it perfect. Finally, the magnets are annoying, because it has to be mounted far away from everything else now. For tight builds, we'll open it up and remove them to make it safe. Come up with a screw mount instead (instead of the awful tape) and this will be a winner

AMAZING
I cannot stress how amazing this is if you have DC fans, the case I bought came with 3 DC fans which were always on 100% because they were DC even if I wanted to change the fans for PWM ones the motherboard I have only has 1 system fan header which meant I couldn't even add more than the 3 if I wanted to, this device solved that problem at a fraction of what corsairs commander pro cost, I can now add as many fans as I can fit in my case and keep the DC ones while keeping them near silent when not stressing the CPU, also means they will last longer if they are not on 100% all the time. another point is that my motherboard BIOS didn't have a DC fan mode so I was worried that it might not work but controller is able to interoperate the signal, also means I can set up custom fan curves in BIOS also.

Very useful product
Finally was able to control my 4 pin pwm fans using this which had been stuck at full power with the original fan controller my case came with. PC has never been so quiet in the last 3 years

You can control the fan speed
It has very limited capabilities with regards from which manufacturer the fans ar from i.e no support for corsair fans but I did get game max fans to work. The terminals are not positioned well within the plastic shroud, they are bent inwards slightly and the connectors in the plug for the input socket are weak, mine snapped. It is good if you have to many fans for the motherboard sockets or in my case, the fan wires were not long enough.
