First 6🌟 read of the year!!
I honestly don’t even know where to start because The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros was everything. This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions—every single emotion. I went from laughing to crying to feeling heartbroken, then back to laughing, and all the way to gut-wrenching sobs. It was intense, it was beautiful, and it was everything I never knew I needed in a story.Told through the dual perspectives of Beckett Gentry, aka Chaos, and Ella McKenzie, this story is both beautiful and heartbreaking. Their connection begins through letters, as requested by Ella’s brother, Ryan. And trust me, their journey is one you will never forget.Beckett is everything I want in a book boyfriend—he is perfect. After leaving the military following a devastating operation that took the life of his best friend, Ryan, and left Ella’s brother’s death lingering in the background, Beckett receives a letter from Ryan asking him to look after Ella and her family. The kicker? Beckett’s already fallen in love with Ella through their letters, though she has no idea who he really is. His journey to fulfill Ryan’s final request—without revealing his identity—was both sweet and heartbreaking in all the right ways.Ella is a single mom of twins one boy and one girl and a business owner who’s been recently hit with the devastating news that her young daughter has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a form of cancer. In the midst of her grief, she takes comfort in writing to her brother’s best friend, Chaos. And when Beckett suddenly stops responding after the operation, she assumes the worst—he’s gone, too. The emotional weight of their journey is staggering.I absolutely lost it reading Ryan’s final letter to Beckett. I sobbed uncontrollably—it was raw, it was beautiful, and it hit so deep. But those tears were quickly replaced with joy as I watched Beckett fight for Ella and her family. The way he stepped in and cared for them, the way he loved her kids—it was beyond moving. It was heartwarming. But hold on tight because this book doesn’t let you off easy. As much as it’s filled with moments of joy, laughter, and heart, it will tear your heart out. The heartbreak is so real, I cried nonstop for over an hour. I could barely see the words through my tears, but I had to keep reading. The emotional intensity of this book will stay with you long after you finish. The Last Letter is a book I will remember for years to come. The story development was on point, with unexpected twists that will leave you gasping. The character building was so well done, you’ll feel like you know Beckett and Ella personally. And while the spice was minimal, it wasn’t necessary with how powerful the emotional connection was. I loved every single moment of it.I would 1000% recommend this book to anyone who loves a beautiful, emotional, and soul-stirring story. But just be aware—it touches on themes of child loss, so be prepared for some heavy moments. This book is worth every tear. If you’re looking for a story that will stay with you long after you turn the last page, this is it.Spice Level: 🌶️Tropes:- Military- Second Chance- Single Mother- Secret Identity

Couldn’t put it down
I could not put this book down. I read it in about 7 hours total. This is the second book of hers I’ve read and have yet to be disappointed. This book was raw, emotional, heartbreaking, but it also had funny moments and endearing moments. I felt very connected to all of the characters, especially Maisie and Colt. She did such a great job painting the picture of their big personalities in such little people. Beckett of course is like the picture perfect man that every woman could only dream of having. I would say the only thing it really didn’t even need was the detailed sex parts. I actually felt it took away from the how great the story was. Which is crazy because I love a good smut scene in a book. Just my opinion, I just felt this book didn’t even need it. This book had me smiling, bawling and laughing all in one.

OMG REBECCA WHY?!
I knew she'd do it. I know how she plays but damn. This is the first non-Forth Wing series of hers I've read and and since I'm a glutton for punishment I will now be reading all of her others. The romance and tension is well done, the characters fully developed and story is a great ride. The heartbreak is devastating. Prepare for full on ugly crying that lasts a while. And it hits so hard because inthe 36 hours it took me to read the book I fell into their lives and felt like I knew them. I laughed, cheered and struggled with each of them. I knew pain was coming at some point, like most romance novels do with the "they're happy yay! Oh no something comes from some where and ruins it, but you know they'll work it out and have a happy ending" trope, but this book had that and then so much more. It gives you so much more you'll walk away appreciating your life and fate in a different way. It's not just a romance novel. It's a story of family, survival, strength and love. 10/10 recommend, just make sure you have tissues.

A heartwarming, Gut-Wrenching Must Read
I don't want to give much away, so I'll keep this short and sweet. The Last Letter is the perfect book to sit down and read with a cup of tea and a whole box of tissues.I laughed, I cried. I laughed some more. I was hopeful. The ending shocked me. Then, it tore my heart out and stomped it into the ground.I loved every single character and rooted for them the whole way. The way they navigated their losses and the unrelenting trials they faced were inspiring and as much as I dreaded reading the ending (I had to put it down and choose a more appropriate time once I knew the tissues were needed) I also couldn't stop thinking about it.Yarros wrote a novel that both broke and warmed my heart. She didn't let off the gas when it came to pulling back the curtain on the tragic, unfair moments that life throws at us.I'll be buying the physical copy of this book for when I feel like breaking my heart in the future. Five stars. If you feel like you need to cry, read this book. If you don't... read this book anyway. It's worth the pain. This one will be sticking with me for a long time.

Absolutely Amazing.
Tells a beautiful story of a young mom who just about loses everything. When she thinks things couldn’t get any worse they do. But along with the bad came good too. In many ways, the author pulled me with her words. All in all, it’s a fantastic book, even though it made me cry in a public setting!

Heartbreaking, but so good!
Oh my! This book is the saddest book I have ever read, but it’s so good I couldn’t stop reading it. It was heartbreaking and sad, but it has happy moments too and a bittersweet ending. I loved this book so much. I will definitely be reading more of Rebecca Yarros. She is a very talented writer!
