Hook & Loop Fastening Tape, 3/4-inch Wide, 5 Yards/Roll - Red

i have a wrist brace that had lost it's 'grip' on the velcro. i am able to cut a strip of this tape, staple it to the brace & instantly have a 'sticky as new' velcro closure. i stapled it to the strap so that the new tape would stick to the old, but my wrist brace now works like new. perfect!

I ordered this because the Velcro that you buy in a fabric store didn't have a strong enough hold for what I was using it for. The reviews said this had a strong grip, and it does, but I didn't buy enough. Let me explain. I am using it to remodel the curtain valances in my popup camper so I can take the valances down easily when they need to be washed. The old ones were stapled to the ceiling and were quite worn out. I measured and needed 10 yards to go around the entire ceiling edge so I ordered 2 rolls (5 yards each) thinking they came like you buy Velcro in a fabric store (2 strips stuck together). But this strip is loop on one side and hook on the other, and is technically used to wrap around things to hold them together in a bundle like ropes, electrical cords, etc. To make this work, I stapled one roll to the ceiling with the hook (rough) side facing out (down). Then I sewed the second roll to the top of the right side of the valance with the loop (soft) side facing up so it can be pressed to the ceiling strip. The valance hangs down nicely and hides the Velcro strip. Now I just need to order 2 more rolls to finish the project. Having to order 2 rolls to do 5 yards doesn't save you any money, but if you need a stronger hold than clothing Velcro, this will work nicely.

Was looking to buy more of a different manufacturers hook and loop that has perforations in the roll, but they were out of stock. I found these with the same specs and a nice price to boot. Only these don't have perforations for easy tearing by hand.Maybe now Monoprice will see this review and add perforations at regular intervals to make it easy to tear by hand.

This is a good replacement to the Velcro Brand that is more expensive. Great for tying up your cords for your electronic gadgets. Also great for cable management to keep cords neatly tied behind your electronic goods in the house or the office.

I had a black fastening tape roll that I used up much faster than I had imagined. It hoop & loop in one piece of tape and one side fastens to the other. It's perfect for ensuring boxes that I plan to store stay closed; to secure related things together--there is really no end to the uses you'll find (which is why I run out so fast.)I picked green this time because it blends in better when fastening branches or orchid stems so that they will stay upright against whatever support I'm trying to secure them to. The black tape stood out like a black eye, this is somewhat more subtle. Since I've been on a gardening binge, I'm already more than halfway through the roll. So it's time to reorder and I think I will go with this color again because it works well with plants (where it blends in) and works well with holding anything else together when you do want it to stand out and be more visible.

For my purposes, this velcro didn't work. I needed a strap to go around the back of a towel to keep it secured to a lounge chair. The velcro was so strong, it kept catching and snagging the fabric, basically ruining the towel. I had intended to do this for four towels, but ended up having to remove it from the one I did use it on because it was just TOO effective. If that's what you're looking for, this velcro is for you! If not, be careful! It will catch on everything in its path (including my skort, which it also snagged!).
