Great Sound, Don't Overplay
These heads are great for jazz/ fusion and, tuned right can rock. I have them on my 12x10" rack and 14x12 floor. Reso are a king ambassador that is see through.Tuning is everything. They are a P5 apart (low tom D) That old PDP m5 Sing Sing Sings and instigates a Zuit Suit Riot then flips a switch over to happily Take 5 and pay homage to a Led filled Zepplin.Don't overplayed these heads. They won't last.

Love These Heads!
Replaced all of my top and bottom heads on my toms. It was long overdue. I love the sound of these - they have a deeper tone and not as much reverb. They also seem easier to tune, although I don't have a great ear for that. I mostly play rock and these are a great fit.I still need to use some small surface dampeners as I like a dry sound. They are two-ply and seem very durable, with a great feel. I also happen to think they look sharp as well.

My go to Brand!
I have been playing drums for over 50 years in several genres, and have found Evans heads to neet all my needs. From attack , to even tone dispersion and durability I am always impressed.

They're great!
I've been swapping back and forth between Evans and Remo for a while, but after really liking the emad kick head I decided to lean more toward Evans just for consistency in my setup.I consulted with an online forum to find which would be the closest 'compatible' drumhead to what I really liked from Remo on the Evans line, and I was led to the G2 series. (from Remo's Emperor series-- both being 2 plies of 7mm free floating film)Honestly, I think I'm going to stick with Evans from now on though!I ordered my pack shortly after the announcement of the 'level 360' sizing, and I wanted to give them a try. My fears of getting some old stock were unfounded and the set that I got was new enough to be L360 sized.I got them on, and the tuning seemed to be pretty easy. I use a drum dial to ballpark me and start my tuning process, but it went smoothly. Not sure if it was the placebo effect, but I seemed to be able to get a little more low range on my floor tom as well-- deeper but just as resonant as an 808 kick. The coating seems to hold up better on the Evans heads as well-- Remo tends to 'flatten out' within a few hours of play, where the Evans not only lasts longer, but has a more finished feel to them.

Great for Pearl Rhythm Traveller toms!
I read in a Reddit post that these were great for shallow toms with no resonator heads like the ones I have on my Pearl Rhythm Traveller kit. I really thought I had outgrown this kit (the first and only I’ve ever had, I’ve had it for 18 years now) as I was getting frustrated with the dull yet annoyingly ringy tone I was getting out of them. This heads make these toms SING! Plus they sounded great from the audience videos, so they pass the performance test with flying colors. I have some moon gel on them, but they sound just as good without it. I’ll probably try them without for my next gig and compare the sound.I feel that these heads are made and marketed toward metal players which isn’t my style, but not only do these sound incredible for the more indie rock sound of my band, but they look great and not nearly as “metal drummer” as I had expected them to. The shiny finish to the coated heads really gives them a cool and unique look that fits especially well with the black finish of my kit.A week of everyday practice and a show later these are definitely showing some normal wear, but I think they’ll last me a long time. And honestly for the price I wouldn’t mind if I need to replace these after a year or two.Overall fantastic heads, highly recommend!
