Love hitting this box
Hefty trap! So far I’ve run 300 rounds into this (ok, probably peppered 5-10 in the dirt zeroing in a new scope) and it essentially looks brand new. There is a distinct ping when the round strikes the back wall of this unit. I don’t find it distracting, but rather affirming (again, zeroing a new sight). Not terribly loud either. I’ve not yet attempted 9mm rounds, only .22LR from roughly 150 -250 feet. No visible damage on back wall of the trap.It can be a bit challenging to lug around and could be greatly improved by adding a handle or at least a lip from which to grab. It’s uniformity and bottom-heaviness Just make it slightly ...keyword “slightly” ...awkward. Not problematic enough to deduct a star.I’ve only used one type of adhesive target since my purchase, so I’m not sure if the colder weather, the target itself or the ballistic material on the face of this trap caused the target to peel and roll slightly. My gut says it’s due to temperatures in the mid-30°s. Only minimal peeling was noticed, but worth mentioning. If you’re hesitant to make this purchase, I hope I’ve helped. I’m very impressed with the quality and expect to get Years of use out of this. This is an unbiased, unpaid review from a regular dude sitting on a couch in central Ohio who enjoys “group therapy” in my back 40!

Amazing!!
Where has this been all my life? Suppressed back yard shooting just got safe!!Slight impact noise from a .22lr bullet. I did Get the 2 inch rubber insert. It does not stop the bullet at 25 yards. So it still makes noise but it is truly amazing. I’m able to fine tune my scope in a relatively safe manner. I absolutely Love this but I don’t know why I thought It was bigger. This little thing is heavy lol.

Super Target Systems Bullet Trap 12" x 12", 1" Ballistic Rubber Face, perfect for my PCP Airgun.
I have a high powered Texan .457 SS Airgun. It shoots hard and will completely penetrate just about any wood I shoot at. I bought the Super Target Systems Bullet Trap 12" x 12", 1" Ballistic Rubber Face to make my shooting experience safer. I was amazed at how the Bullet trap stopped and collected the high speed slugs. I shot it in several different locations on the target and got the same result each time. A stopped and collected .45 caliber bullet. The front of the target is a ballistic rubber face plate. The rear of the target is a steel plate. The front rubber plate slows the projectile and the rear steel plate stops the projectile completely. The self sealing rubber face plate does not allow any fragments or dust to escape.

Works extremely well for 22 caliber rounds
Works extremely well for 22 caliber rounds. You can even shoot 5.7x28 lead core rounds into this trap IF you replace the inside rubberized panel with a 1 inch panel, and buy the optional 2 inch rubber panel and put it in the front. That will slow down 5.7 lead core bullets so that they are caught in the trap without any damage to the AR 500 plate.

Super Target Systems Bullet Trap with 1" Ballistic Panel
Very well made, heavy duty. The ballistic panel helps to quiet impact sounds to a light ring upon impact with a HP PCP Airgun. I glued a 1/2” ballistic panel to the inside back plate and now it makes just a dull thud upon impact, just what I wanted!

Lots of lead dust
It’s alright, but even shooting a small amount, like 2 or 3 mags of FMJ ammo, you’ll end up with piles of lead dust in front of the thing.

Built Great
Have put over 450 rounds of 9mm and .45 acp no signs of piting on the backplate or damage to the trap, so far I'm impressed.
