Fantastic and concise overview
I would definitely recommend this book because it was a thorough, yet concise overview of how clinical trial research is done at the site level, what the important terminology is, and how the different stakeholders, sites, CRAs, IRB, sponsors interact with each other to carryout a clinical trial. I could not find another resource as thorough, concise, and cheap as this book. I am going to read it again for sure.

Great introduction to the industry
As someone who worked in life sciences but not the clinical research industry directly, this book was enormously helpful to me as I transitioned into a clinical research role.

My New Career is on the horizon...
This book is a comprehensive guide indeed. Look up the author on YouTube. The info he offers for free is the real deal. I took a crash course in a weekend. The coarse was thorough as far as the info it offered. But, really? This topic is not a crash course kind of topic. Anyone planning to go into this field needs to do the research. And, take the time to understand what you are doing. Yes, might be able to get in the field with an abbreviate knowledge. But you need the information this author offers. This book is just a first step. I have not been paid to give this review I just believe in what I am saying. Look up Dan Sfera on any of the social media outlets. He is not hiding...

Very good foundation into Clinical Research
I am a CRA and wanted my son to learn more about this industry. My son is going into this business and this is an easy read, it hits every aspect to help you understand the conduct of a clinical trial, it helps you follow the lingo. If you fall into this business this is a good general overview book that will allow you to better understand what is needed and how detail oriented this business is.

Not what I wanted
I did not get a look at the Table of contents before purchasing. I wouldn’t have bought it if I did. This isn’t what I was looking for.

Helpful for CCRC exam prep
I only wish I’d had this book 2 years ago when starting out as a confused coordinator. I have found in this industry things tend to seem more complicated than they really are. Dan and Chris are so down to earth, experienced, and have a way of making the complex understandable, step by step. They really know all aspects of the industry inside and out. The book is laid out well starting with research history and then going through trial start up through close out. I’m currently studying for the CCRC exam, and this book is nice extra resource to have on hand.
