part is not in easy place to get to.
Have photo's to upload but can't get it to open my photo's to upload. This is located on top of transfercase just to left of the output for front drive shaft for most chevy trucks and suv. I had to put my truck on jack stands and have it about a foot off the ground then normal ride height. Then I could sit under the truck with my head between front drive shaft and the driver side torsion bar/ frame rail. Then ibfound it easier to go under the transmission crossmember and over the driver side of transfercase with a 1 1/8 inch box end wrench and it came lose with no issue's. I switched to a short adjustable wrench to finish removing the sensor and installed the new starting it by hand then using the short adjustable to tighten it down so I had more room to move due to smaller wrench. I didn't not tighten it real tight just tightened it enough that I knew it wasn't going anywhere as since it's a switch it can not withstand a bunch of torque with out damage. This solved my flashing 4x4 switch when I put it in 4wd as the original was broke and not telling the front actuator to engage the axle so I had 4wd. Under warm and clean conditions this would take about an hour id say with getting truck up on jack stands to change. It took me bout 2 1/2 hr as I had a bunch of ice under my truck I had to melt and remove as well as go after tools before I could remove the bottom part of the old sensor and install the new.

good parts
I hear a lot of people coming down on Dorman aftermarket parts. I can honestly say that I have had very good results with their parts. I work on mostly GM products, I am not sure if that is related or not. This switch worked right out of the gate and is still going a couple of years later.
