Q: I have long, fine naturally curly hair that I scrunch and go. Devacurl ultra defining gel is no longer working for me. Is this a good choice for soft?

I like this product. You can use an amount the size of a quarter or half dollar on soaking wet hair. It will seem too firm at first. But once your hair is dry you can scrunch and get a nice soft look. I sometimes add deva gel right after the shower too.

Q: What does the island fantasy smell like? citrus scents give me migraines, so i'm trying to decide if i should use the island fantasy scent or unscente

Island Fantasy smells like suntan lotion to me. Heavy coconut smell that stays in my hair. I cannot use it. The citrus lavender smells more like lavender than citrus, and is much lighter. They also make a fragrance free version.

If I remember correctly it has kind of a coconutty smell. Reminds me of the beach.

Q: Are any of these sellers authorized retailers? I am always hesitant to buy beauty products from third party sellers since I'm afraid they will be fake

Hi- the first time I ordered this product from Amazon, I believe it actually came from Jessicurl, LLC, the product was how it should be. The second time I ordered off Amazon, I thought it was coming from Jessicurl, but did not. The consistency of the product was not right and it did not apply correctly to my hair. I returned it and haven't ordered these products through Amazon again. In other words, its a 50/50 shot. At least you can return it if it doesn't seem right. Good luck.

Didn’t work for my 2B/C curls

I used the product 3 times and all 3 times it made my curls look oily and lifeless and weighed down. I have 2B/C curls. I changed the amount of product I used but it still didn’t work for me.
