I would not have thought that a dishwasher needed regular maintenance, but they do. While normal cosmetic and interior cleaning may be obviously import. there are not so obvious places that need to be cleaned. For example, the filter at the base of the washer accumulates "gunk" that need to be physically cleaned, but not so obvious is the accumulation in other interior lines. In fact, my Bosch dishwasher would occasionally just stop running shortly after starting it. I believe that there was more gunk elsewhere in the internal tubing of the washer that would accumulate and lead to slow draining. Perhaps the safeties in the washer sensed that not everything was free running enough. Enter the Bosch cleaning aids. I now periodically use a box of this, especially after a stoppage or two, to ensure better operation. So if you have problems, or even if you don't, using this cleaner every six months or so may be what will keep your dishwasher clean and problem free.

I use this product in accordance with instructions. Clean effect is exceptionally durable!

Superior cleaning

This did not clean the washing machine well at all. There was still gunk and a moldy smell in the washer after use. The best product I've found so far is the Tide washing machine cleaner. The Tide cleaner completely removes the gunk and the moldy smell and the strong scent does not transfer to clothes put in the washing machine after the cleaner has been used. My only problem with the Tide cleaner is that the cleaner smell is so strong I have trouble breathing if I leave the door open to the laundry room while the cleaner is running in the machine. I was hoping that I could find something just as effective without such a harsh scent and breathing issues.
