Excellent fragrance-free product and it works!
My sister purchased this product for me when we were headed to Egypt where the UV index reaches Severe. I was skeptical--Coppertone had a scentless product? Really? And and a SPF of 70? Really? I have very sensitive skin to both the sun and strong SPF products. My husband is very allergic to strong scents and gets an instant headache from many products advertised as scentless. But not only did this product keep me from getting too much sun, it didn't break me out in a rash, kept my skin moisturized AND it's the most scentless "fragrance free" sunscreen I've ever tried (and I've tried many). Not one complaint from my guy. I love it!!

My New Favorite Sunscreen
This is the one! I recently made a resolution to myself to wear sunscreen every day, even if I’m not planning to spend a lot of time outside, so I was on the hunt for a good one that also didn’t break the bank. As a fair-skinned person who burns easily, I’ve tried out a bunch of different ones over the years and did a lot of research before buying this one.THE PROS:Sun protection: So far, so good. Never been burned using it, no complaints. Haven’t used it in the water yet, but for regular outdoor wear on some very sunny days it has performed fine. For 2019 and 2020 it was highly rated/the highest rated sunscreen for Consumer Reports, so if that matters to you, it’s a plus.Smell: This is probably the most truly fragrance/scent free sunscreen of all the ones I’ve ever bought and tried. No real smell in my opinion.Non-greasy/Good for body and face: I think all chemical sunscreens can feel a little greasy, but compared to some others I’ve tried, this was definitely on the less greasy side. I actually decided to buy a highly rated sunscreen marketed as “non-greasy” for my face to wear under makeup to see if that was better, and honestly, this was equal to that product so I can use this on my face too (I’m not acne-prone though so I don’t know if that would be an issue, but for me it works).Texture: Light but not so light that it feels watery and is easy to spread. No cast: Little to no white cast once it’s rubbed in (though I do have very fair skin so I may not be the best judge of that).Gentle: I have dry/sensitive and redness prone skin and this did not irritate me. I’ve also found it gentle enough for my toddler who has sensitive skin/has been prone to eczema and rashes in the past. The price: I’m not the type of person to spend 30 bucks for a few ounces of sunscreen. This was definitely the right price point for me and a great value for a quality sunscreen, in my opinion.THE CONS:Oxybenzone: The biggest con for me is that it contains oxybenzone which has been linked to coral bleaching and is banned in the state of Hawaii (also some people think oxybenzone may be an endocrine disruptor, though I read there is no conclusive evidence that it’s truly harmful to humans). These aren’t minor details and are things I weighed before purchasing. That said, I tried a non-nano zinc oxide sunscreen and I really disliked it (the thick texture and additional rubbing needed to spread the thicky/tacky mineral sunscreen irritated my skin and the harsh white cast was off-putting, even on my fair skin). Also, Consumer Reports has suggested mineral sunscreens just don’t work as well for actual sun protection which was a concern (though the accuracy of Consumer Reports testing is debatable).Bottom line: if you are willing to buy a chemical sunscreen with oxybenzone, this is the best one I’ve found and I’d highly recommend it. I’ve re-bought it once already.

Works Great, No Burns!
While we took a more natural approach for sunscreen on our daughter, this was the sunscreen of choice for the adults last year. It really worked. I know this because my husband missed a large spot on his back when putting on sunscreen and the line between where this was applied and where he burned was very clear. He remained pale and burn free in all but that area. The smell is pretty average, normal for sunscreen. It doesn't bother me, I love the smell, makes me think of summer. It didn't feel overly greasy, and it rubbed in fine, no white residue. The bottle itself is sturdy, survived many drops to the ground without breaking open or the cap coming off.I'd recommend for anyone who isn't an alarmist about chemicals being in their sunscreen, it does the job it's intended to do.

Slight sunburn on the arms
I use this product in conjunction with Coppertone Pure & Simple. I use the Pure & Simple 50 for my face, neck, chest, shoulders and back and I use the Coppertone 70 for my arms and legs. The Coppertone Pure & Simple worked perfectly unfortunately after being in the pool the Coppertone 70 that was on my arms did get a slight sunburn after about an hour in the pool even after I waited 20 minutes for it to absorb into my skin. The Coppertone 70 does have a slight chemical smell but it is not offensive. It it a bit more watery than a standard lotion, spreads easily and does absorb easily into the skin. I will not be repurchasing Coppertone 70 due to getting a slight sunburn on my arms. It might be effective for people who are not pasty white like I am and living in Arizona. I never tan I only burn, so perhaps if you are not sensitive to the sun this product may be a more effective and affordable choice.

Convenient packaging. Seems to work well in Texas sun
I bicycle for hours in the central Texas sun with temperatures in the 90's (F). Sunscreen is critical for me. I don't have scientific measurements to verify this product's claimed SPF 70 and 80 minutes water resistance, but I confirm that even when outdoors in the sun for 5+ hours at a time, I have not experienced sunburn. I slather this lotion on my legs, arms, neck, and bottom of my face - it shows as a white cream at first, then becomes transparent and makes my skin glisten. After a full day of riding/sweating, my skin still glistens, so I think the sun protection is still active.I like the packaging a lot. The bottle stands upside down so lotion is already collected at the bottle top when I want to apply the lotion (no bottle shaking required to move lotion from the bottom of the bottle). Also, the bottle lies flat on the table so it doesn't roll away.
