This is made from rubber. There is a plastic shell inside of the rubber that the drive sits in. The rubber fits around it for protection.

Q: will it fit a 15mm thick Seagate Barracuda 2.5 hard drive or just the smaller 7mm drives?

No, just the thinner 2.5” drives.

Q: Is C2580c compatible with Thunderbolt 3 port?

Yes Thunderbolt 3 supports USB 3.1 gen 2. However, it will only run at USB 3.1 gen 2 (10Gb/s), not at Thunderbolt 3 (32Gb/s) speeds though.

Q: Is this usb-if certified?

Yes, though speed would depend of cable type and your computer usb port.
