Hoop falls apart
Bubbleology kit.I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.This kit looked fantastic and to say the smalls were excited to try it out, is an understatement! However, I'll say straight away, the large ring, is naff, it doesn't stay together and even if you can keep it together, it is absolutely rediculous to try and get it all the way up. The smaller parts, were definitely fun, we spent ages in the garden playing with it all and gave up on the ring! You get a booklet provided, this helps teach you lots of tricks with all of the pieces, which would be fun if they wanted to master some bubble blowing. You need to dilute your bubble mix yourself, this is easy enough, you could use one of the large bottles, with a gallon of water, or use 9 parts water, to 1 part mix, which is what I did. This went a long way.You get -• 3 large bottles, each 378ml, of undiluted, bubble mix.• 1 smaller bottle, which is 14ml. I wasn't sure if this was the same mix, or if it was the bouncing bubble mix. In the booklet, they say bouncing bubble mix but I couldn't see on the bottle if this was actually it, it would of helped more had they said the smaller bottle etc.• 2 gloves, one large and one small. These help 'catch' the bubbles.• 1 sword. This is actually lots of fun. When you pull it out, the sword opens up with a tap of a button, into an upside down triangular shape, this helps create amazing, long caterpillar type bubbles and more. The sword helps release them and you can attack the bubbles with the sword afterwards.• Blow up ring. This is quick and easy to blow up. We used it outside too and it was fine. This is for the large hoop, you put the hoop together yourself, which is also easy. It is a bit of a fiddle to get it all the way in the ring, it's not easy to balance, as the one side kept coming undone too. This really just didn't work at all.• 2 trumpet blower type bubble makers. One blows huge bubbles and the other makes long lines of lots of little bubbles.• Multi bubble blower. This one is lots of fun and actually works when dipped in its tray, unlike the larger one.I couldn't recommend this, as I think the main focus here was the larger hoop. This definitely needs looking at, as it just falls apart. The rest is lots of fun and if they sorted the hoop problem, I would get a kit for the smalls again.

The mix doesn't work if ratio instructions are followed
There are alot of different shape and sizes and style bubble wands/blowers in this kit full of veriety. It does work better using it outside for more space but when its raining outside its a great indoor toy to keep the kids entertained if you don't mind the mess. The instruction book is a bit basic. There are some fun little blowers that will create a largish bubble or some foam style bubbles.Gloves to catch the bubbles altho so far they have all popped. The large bubble is amazing my son loves it he's only 5 and can mannage to create huge tunnel bubbles from first attempt. In the instructions it states to mix the solution 1 part bubbles to 9 parts water I wouldnt mix it like this its to watery bubbles burst before finish blowing them even in the smaller ones.I ended up mixing I more 1 part bubbles to 4/5 parts water to get it to work proply. However this ment we ran out of solouting very quickly and I'm hoping regular bubble solution tubs will be compatible

Waiting for the bubble to burst
There have been highs and lows here. The highs – on inspection the kit looks absolutely fantastic with loads of different gadgets. The lows – no one in my household is a bubble expert no matter the age. The wonder of encasing yourself in a bubble would be ….err wonderful, but nope despite numerous attempts I as an adult can’t get it right. I did think as no one had progressed beyond step one of ‘catching a bubble’, interest would wane, but this isn’t the case. Even without the skills to become a Bubbleologist, there’s still something quite wondrous about interacting with bubbles. 3½ stars

Surprisingly difficult to assemble and use
This kit has so far proved to be, in the most part, beyond the abilities of both my 2 year old, and her 43 year old daddy.Part of the reason initially was that the instructions do not identify how to assemble the parts, nor what each piece is for, nor how it is to be used. It turns out that the images on the listing are far more instructive than the instruction manual. However the main reason was for our failure was that we simply couldn't persuade the large ring, nor the scissor wand, to actually make any bubbles. The liquid just dripped off it and no bubbles were formed. This is probably due to our inexperience rather than a failing of the kit, but worth mentioning if you're not already experienced at these things. The small bubble trumpets work well, and actually have become a favourite of my 2 year old, but it's a bit of a shame that the rest of the kit seems to be beyond our abilities.

fun
A great toy for parties and tons of fun. a little tricky to make the big bubbles so need adult assistance. the bubble mixture is different to the standard stuff so if more is needed check its the right stuff.
