Amazing quality look
Love the band, it took less then 5 minutes to remove 3 links so not sure what people find so hard about doing it. Love the classy look it gives my Fitbit

Sturdy, attractive, fits well
After years of using the original wrist band on my Fitbit Alta, and later having mixed success with a magnetic clasp on a metal band, I ordered this wrist band. It has a clasp like my expensive watch. The wrist band itself resembles the band on both my watches. I was able to conveniently remove a link to resize the band thanks to the included tool specifically designed to remove or insert a pin in the links. Well-made tool and the instructions were excellent. I'm a professional technical writer (created maintenance and operator manuals for airplanes). I rate the instructions as A+.

Fit bit metal band
I love my metal bands, my black one when removing two links from each side it worked fine, the silver one, one side two removed okay the other side broke every screw remover they sent. Asked seller for more screw tool heads. No reply, none sent, so that band is a loss!! Bad seller service.

Just like the watch bands I'm used to
I ordered the stainless steel band (without any silicone covers) three weeks ago and have been wearing it every day since receiving it. It is a quality product that is exactly what I was looking for. It is exactly like the watch band on an analog watch I own. I had to remove a few links to customize it to my size. The removal tool worked well, and if you have done this before with other watch bands, it is simple. In fact, the removal tool they sent with the band is easier to use than the pins/hammers I've had to use with other watch bands. If you are worried about using this tool or removing links because you are not "handy," then you can take it to a jeweler to have them resize it for you. In the "old" days, your local neighborhood jeweler would do this for free, but since "local neighborhood jewelers" don't exist in many places anymore, you could find a watch place in the mall and they might charge you a nominal fee. This company must also read their reviews, because a few customers complained that the removal tool broke or didn't work--my band came with two different styles of removal tools, probably an adjustment made by the company in response to poor reviews about this tool. I recommend this product and once I received it, I regretted not ordering it months earlier. Enjoy.

The locking mechanism secures it on my wrist better than ever
Flipping a house so the silicon bands were ripping off on a regular basis. I've been using this one for several weeks and it exceeded my every expectation. The locking mechanism secures it on my wrist better than ever, the connection to the Fitbit is tight and doesn't give out, the band is more comfortable than I imagined, the detailed paint job is impressive, and the overall durability of the band is great. They even provided a tool to remove excess links so I got the fit I wanted -- it took a bit of doing and the tool was bent and giving out by the time I finished, but it lasted long enough to git 'er done. I'm thinking about purchasing a second one just in case I ruin this one with an errant power tool. Highly recommend!Update after nearly 4 months of use: this band still looks fantastic and feels great. There's a couple of spots where it's starting to wear and one scratch as a result of a minor power tool mishap, but I'm still comfortable wearing this to job interviews and formal social events (someone has to look pretty hard to discern the skull patterns). This baby is holding up really well and I'm about to purchase one for my wife (sans skulls, of course -- she's not as twisted as I am).

Decent replacement band
I'm giving the band 5 stars. It's adjustable for fit, works as it should, and my wife says it's comfortable.Ours came with two of the tools for removing links. I'd give those 3-4 stars, but I also didn't expect much for a limited-use "free" tool. You just need to be careful and deliberate when using it. For pressing out the pin, take care to keep everything carefully lined up. It can start to bend if you let it lean off to the side. It will still press out the pins, but if you bend the tool even slightly, it makes it much more difficult to re-insert the pins. When re-inserting the pin, I had trouble keeping the tool's thin pin pressed against the link pin. There was just a slight "wobble" as I turned the tool and it kept slipping off the tiny head of the link pin. But I eventually got it back together.

Very happy, fantastic purchase.
So it's a metal, link band that's coated in some protective film. I don't know what but it's great. I've had it for a couple of months now and other than a couple of links on the bottom (where I rest my wrist on the desk and such) it still looks brand new - and I'm pretty hard on things, especially hand/wrist things because I'm always banging my hands and arms on doorways and such. Absolutely no downsides to this product! It fits smoothly and seamlessly with the Alta, the clasp functions as it should, and despite claims from people having issues removing pins when adjusting the band size - I had none.I do have bigger than normal wrists so while it technically fit me out of the box I ended up ordering a second one and adding two links to it so that I could wear it the way Fitbit recommends you wear it in order to get the most accurate readings. All of the measurements on the product page are accurate, I'm just glad I was able to add links to it.I have been very pleasantly surprised with this purchase.
