Baldwin FB1311 Fuel Filter Base

This filter housing is used for caterpillar or all fuel filters with certain numbers. It seems to work quite well. You can also convert it to a longer filter. If you know the right person at caterpillar or at another dealer that knows how to convert it from a short filter to a long filter, it makes a big difference. Short filters are good for the winter time. The longer filters are better for the summertime. Do the fact that you can somewhat cool. You cool the fuel off by the filter by the air going out underneath the truck to keep it cooling off, so it also keeps the injector pump as well and take some of that heat through the injection system out of there and transfer it back to the tank and dissipates it

Works how it should. Shipped in a protective box so threads stay safe in transit.Finish was good no weird barbs on the ends.As mentioned 10 ORB fittings on the female fittings.

This filter head works well on my portable black diesel filter rig. This is a 2 filter system and it is the final filter before it goes in my tank. No complaints at all would buy again if needed for another project.

Well constructed base for fuel filter, however finding the type of inlet/outlet fitting was another chore. As it turns out the mating fitting is a 7/8-14 (mm) male ORB (O ring seal). This information needs to be supplied with the part or stamped on it.

Works great for my 90 gallon fuel tank to save yall some time time fittings are Size 10AN

This filter base uses a Bf1259 fuel filter

Purchased as a direct replacement for the same base in a diesel fuel filter setup. Fuel filter galled and seized to the original base. After busting two filter wrenches, and then crushing the filter with a strap wrench, I'm replacing the base. So, be sure to use anti-seize on the threads in a non-oil application, or you'll be writing a review just like this.
