A great companion to the series.
While coffee table books aren't my typical review fare, the Sons of Anarchy coffee table book by Tara Bennett can be an exception. As a fan of the show who got into it between the third and fourth seasons, Sons has been a part of my Tuesday nights for the past four years, and I am the type who has re-watched time and time again. Most television shows can come and go without incident, but this one had such a great story from beginning to end that there is a hole in my Tuesday nights that may never be filled. An introduction by showrunner Kurt Sutter begins this well-thought out ode to the show, which begins with the origins of the show, and goes on to give the SAMCRO family tree, with outlines of all of the main characters. For those unfamiliar with "biker speak", they have a mini glossary to help. This book has bits and pieces of production information, including prop work and makeup, as well as the hidden stories behind many of the tattoos seen on the show. There are portions for each season, and a separate portion for the final act.Without giving too much away (which is why I only posted a photo of the cover), this is a great book to add to any SOA fan's collection. Including photos and information not before seen, there is definitely a reason that it's a #1 bestseller on Amazon.com, and is sold out more often than not.

Fabulous Book
Must Have For SAMCRO Fans! Something told me to pre-order this book. I ordered it a few days before the series finale. I received it on Wednesday morning. The series finale was still fresh in my mind.It was immediately impressed with the quality of this book. The images were colorful and beautiful. The information was fun to read and I learned a few new facts. I was also happy to see the main characters with a chapter dedicated to each of them. I wish there could have been more background information on John Teller , but you can't have it all!If you are a fan of the show in the characters this is a book you cannot afford to miss out on.If you have a fan of this show in your life this is the perfect gift for them. They will love you forever when they open this book up.It was nice to reminisce about seasons past & I enjoyed the season by season death roll call. I did not realize how much I miss dirty Phil or half sack until I read their names in the death roll call .This book is fabulous. Of course a few things could have been included maybe a bit more information about this or that, but all of that little stuff aside this book is a must have. Great job. Samcro forever!

Interesting and informative guide book.
I didn't discover SOA (somehow) until I caught the season 4 finale while channel surfing one Tuesday night. I devoured the first four season while waiting for the season 5 premiere, and then the show was a staple of my Tuesday nights for the next 3 falls. I initially bought the magazine format series guide before this came out--this book is definitely far superior. Everything that was in that newsstand magazine was used in this book, so get this and not that.In this book, we get background information on the club's founding, show creation, characters, clubs, guides to the episodes of all seven seasons (including the series finale), and much more. There was a bit of uproar just before this came out, when one distributor mailed book orders a week early, and people complained about Kurt Sutter having spoiled the series finale with this book. Well, to that I say: it wasn't Sutter's fault. He did a great service to the fans by creating this book, and by making it complete by including information from the entire seventh season--even more so that this was available immediately upon the show's finale (perfect timing to be given as a gift--which I did with one of the two copies I bought). Those people who got the book early made the choice to open it then and there before the final episode aired and spoiled the ending for themselves. Neither Sutter nor any of the Sons put guns to those fans' heads and made them read the sections on the show's final episode/character fates. This book is a great resource on the series and a worthwhile purchase for any SOA fan.

Of course, I had to have this. My heart beats faster just thinking about it.
I wouldn't miss having this, as a fan of everything SOA. I rode my Harley out to California from Minnesota for the Season 7 premiere, to watch the red carpet from across the street. To go peek at the Teller-Morrow set. To watch Katey's star ceremony and concert with The Forest Rangers at the El Rey Theater. I wish I could have had this book then but of course, that would have spoiled the drama of the season unfolding.I did have the SOA Insider magazine which has some of the same information through Season 6. This has much more detail and includes Season 7. I've ended up collecting some cast autographs in each but I'd like to get them all in this book.Anyway, I love this as it stirs many priceless memories. There's some intangible joy in this show and cast which gives me a comfort no other has.Details - it is a hard cover with many lovely photos. It contains everything in the magazine official series guide (96 pages) plus more, it is over 200 pages. It has additional sections including more from Kurt Sutter, characters sections including Clay, Tara, Opie, Piney and Unser. It adds much more to the behind the scenes information on how the show was produced, with sections on tattoos, makeup, costumes, and music. And of course, it adds a detailed section on season 7.
