Works really well with higher quality COPPER wire connectors - steel connectors are hit and miss
I read many of the 1 and 2 star reviews AFTER I used this crimper on various electrical connectors. From my experience, the type and quality of connector you use makes a BIG difference. I have some low dollar steel import crimp on ends and they didn't crimp very well. Some of the yellow connectors would not crimp completely. I had to put the Titan crimper in a bench vise to get it to compress fully because I didn't have enough hand strength to compress the crimpers all the way. I'm a 6'1" / 220 pound weight lifter who can shrug 495 pounds on a bar - it's not a hand strength issue. Then I used the Titan crimper with Wirefy copper connectors available on Amazon. The Wirefy connectors are made of 100% copper with a 3:1 polyeolefin shrink tube integrated on the connector. The key here is the copper connector - it's softer than steel, compresses completely and far more easily than the cheap steel connectors. The Wirefy connectors are not cheap but they work great with the Titan crimpers. I could not get the cheap steel connectors to crimp with my old crimping tool - so it's not the tool, its the actual connector you are using.Pro:-Heavy duty, well made tool-Crimps copper connectors very solidly - I've used it on 12 - 18 gauge copper wire with no issues-The Red/Blue/Yellow designation on the crimper jaws is handyCon:-No release - if you put a heavy duty yellow steel connector in the Titan crimper, you'd better have a hand like Hellboy or a bench vise near by.-Not the best design for leverage - the handles are too close together and there is not enough mechanical advantage.I can understand why some folks mught be disappointed in this tool. But with large steel connectors or even smaller steel connectors you need a LOT of force to compress them - almost pneumatic or hydraulic. This is a $25 hand tool - understand the limitations and buy the proper connectors and you will give this tool a 4-5 star rating. If you don't, it explains the 1-2 star ratings.

Really good spark plug wire crimper and I discovere a surprize
I have a vintage car and I needed a crimper that would do 7mm wires. The listing does not show wire size like I'm used to for ignition cables, 7mm, 8mm and 8.5mm, it shows 17 AWG. I called customer service and they said it does work with 7mm. I quickly made a set of cables for my '36 Ford and it worked perfectly. Good solid crimps. I used the number 2 position on the die.The surprize is that I have a crimper tool from Wirefy that came in a case with 4 sets of dies for various terminals. They look similar to the H1 Titan die and I found they are interchangeable, so if you have a Wirefy crimper you can just buy the H1 die and you will be able to do ignition cables.

worked for my 7mm cloth-covered Harley Sportster mod
pleased with the action on the Crimper; it doesn't allow for over-crimping like the cheap normal wire crimpers I've been shamefully using most of my life. For this custom cloth-covered wiring job I knew I had, I made sure to purchase not only this crimper tool, but also the the Pertronix spark plug wire jacket/trim removal tool. I was worried about this job as I know just in general it's easy to mess up a wiring cut/trim/crimp on plug wires and I wanted this task to go very well since it's a feature of my Sportster build. It went surprisingly smooth and quick using both tools. Very happy.

This is a proper crimper for those bigger spade/fork power terminals
I like this a lot, it makes very reliable terminal crimps unlike those built-in crimpers you get with wire strippers. There's a proper orientation that makes for better crimps, IIRC the crimping tab should press into the non-split side of the terminal for best strength, the seam should face the lower jaws.
