Nice little saw!
I have a "tool tote" that is kept stocked with general project tools - screwdrivers, Crescent wrenches, Vice-Grips, etc., the sort of collection used to handle general 'fixit' projects around the house.I wanted a tool that would fit in the tote, that was not so large it couldn't get out of it's own way, and that would be effective for those times that I needed to make a quick cut in perhaps a tight spot. The Stanley 15-809 mini hacksaw fills the order nicely. While primarily a metal blade, the included blade can be used (YMMV) to slice through PVC piping or wood molding - although the resulting cut may not be as smooth as you might like it to be. No fault of the blade, of course, if it's used to cut through material it wasn't designed to.However, for me most of the time I'll be satisfied with a rough cut; if I need a smooth cut then I'll retreat to the tool box for reinforcements. The convenience of having the hacksaw in my tool tote overrides the lack of smooth cuts on some materials. One caveat - there is no protection for the blade. If you, like I do, carry it in an open topped tool tote you're going to want to be careful sticking your hand into the tote. I wrapped my Stanley mini hacksaw in a shop towel and secured the towel with a rubber band. It ain't pretty, but it is effective. The mini saw is good for tight spaces, such as under sinks or inside cabinets and has a comfortable grip. Blade replacement is quite simple and blades are not difficult to find.Overall it's a tool that does what it says should do and in my case does some things it says it shouldn't do <g>. Just the ticket for a non-specialized tool tote.HTHRegards,Jim

Handy little saw
I bought this specifically to remove a pair of small bolts that were interfering with some photo lighting equipment that I modified and a regular hack saw wouldn't work because of the limited space. Although I did look locally at first for this all I could find were some over priced plastic things. This saw is aluminum and very rigid and it worked like a charm. The price is also very good.

Great little saw.
First of all, I wanna say that this saw got its job done, so I'm satisfied. Although it doesn't say it on the description, I was expecting this tool to be made in the USA. Why? Because that what it shows on the photo. So when I first received it, I gotta say I was some what disappointed. I just want to give heads up to those who's about to order this product thinking that it's made in the USA. That doesn't mean this isn't a great tool. I bought this to trim off my kid's bicycle kick stand. It took little time but wasn't hard to saw off the solid metal rod.Amazon just need to update their photos. And by the way this product is made in Taiwan. Same model as it describes and same model number.

Made in India
Bought it because the pictures and the description were saying it's made in the USA, but it was a lie, and the item I received was made in India, so it went back to Amazon, and I keep looking for a locally made tool

Great little compact tool !
This tool is great for those small quick cuts, where the larger saw would simply not fit. The design is genius in many ways - first the protruding end of the blade can get in tight spaces, second the blade can be reversed if one end dulls out - but keep in mind that by doing so you convert your saw from a pull type to a push type (direction of blade teeth changes). The cast aluminum handle inspires confidence. Some improvements you can make yourself if you plan on using this tool alot is adding some shims to hold the blade better in place, or wrap the handle with some tape for softer grip.

Great little Hacksaw
The plastic nut that tightens under my toilet bowl to hold the fill valve fused to the end of fill valve that sticks out of the toilet, and for the life of me I could not turn the nut to get it off (even with channellock pliers). I used this hacksaw blade to saw it off. It took only a few minutes. The blade that comes with it is not the greatest (I did use the blade that came with it for my issue), but it is easily replaceable. I only used this on plastic so I have no experience with any other material. The handle is comfortable, light, and gives good leverage for sawing action. I am sure I will find other uses for this tool in the future.

High Quality One-Piece Metal Construction; Made In The USA
The Stanley mini hack saw is a very high quality tool that's made in the USA. The body and handle is a tough one-piece metal construction that will hold the saw blade very firmly in place. The hack saw is very compact in size and its handle feels very good in the hands -- it's PERFECT for small sawing jobs! I was able to use it to very quickly cut a few 1/8" flint and magnesium rods down to size. I'm very impressed. Highly recommended!

NOT made in USA as shown
It's a hacksaw, and will probably function. However, the photo shows a product stamped "Made in USA'. This item is made in India.
