Macular Health Beyond AREDS2 Formula, Advanced Ocular Vitamin - Containing Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Bilberry, and Vitamins C, D, E, and B6 (30 Day Supply)

I have AMD in both eyes. My left eye has gotten so bad that everything center was black. I could not read the text on my computer and I have a 32" monitor. When I looked at my grid my left eye was so bad the whole grid was distorted. My right eye was seeing a distorted grid too but not nearly as bad as my left eye... I honestly did not expect anything out of this eye health formula... But after 2 weeks of taking this I can read everything I just wrote here with my left eye... Still kinda foggy, but I CAN READ IT... Be mindful that when taking any other supplements, watch your zinc level. Because this stuff has a lot of zinc. I tried the Bosh&Lomb but it didn't do anything... Not picking on Bosh&Lomb but I think they use synthetic vitamins in there formula... Any ways this worked very well for me. I thought I was going to go blind, but this has been a heaven sent...

For Macular Degeneration of the eyes. Hopefully it is helping my husband from going blind, along with shots in the eye.

I purchased this for my 90 year old mother who has macular degeneration setting in. It not only helped her eyesight but gave her a boost of energy. She showed it to her ophthalmologist. The doctor told her it was the best over the counter treatment available. Mom now says it has stopped the degeneration. She sees better when she is driving and reading. I would recommend this to anyone with serious eye problems.

So far I believe they are better than AREDS ~~I will continue to use these ,They have bil berry and areds does Not Also has More E. WIll continue to use..After nest purchase I will review AGAIN!

I was recently diagnosed with the beginning signs of macular degeneration. So far, my eyesight has not been affected, but I am very worried because macular degeneration robbed my father of his eyesight in the last years of his life. My ophthalmologist recommended that I take AREDS (Age-Related Eye Disease Study) eye vitamins, but he didn't recommend a particular brand or product. I did quite a bit of reading can product comparisons before settling on these, but I've been taking them only for a couple of months and it's too early to tell if they'll work for me, especially since I don't have symptoms of MD. (I hope to find out if they're helping when I have my next exam with my ophthalmologist.)For anyone who is new to the subject, the National Eye Institute (part of the US National Institutes of Health, NIH) did two studies to determine if certain vitamins might help with macular degeneration and cataracts. The first study (AREDS) was completed in 2001 and the second study (AREDS2) was completed in 2013. The studies showed that vitamins could slow the progression of macular degeneration (which has no cure or even treatment), but did not prevent or slow the development of cataracts. The two AREDS formulations are similar, but if you're looking for vitamins to help prevent or slow macular degeneration, you'll probably want to take vitamins based on the AREDS2 formula, which replaced beta carotene with the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin. (Beta carotene has been associated with increased lung cancer risk in smokers.) The EyeScience Macular Health Formula is a superset of the AREDS2 formulation, which means that it contains the ingredients proven to work in the AREDS2 study, plus other ingredients that EyeScience Labs believes are important for eye health. To date, however, only the original AREDS and AREDS2 formulations have been proven to slow macular degeneration. After seeing how macular degeneration destroyed my father's quality of life, I chose this product -- despite its high price -- because I'm hoping that the extra ingredients will provide additional benefits to my eyesight. So far, I haven't been able to find any proof that they actually will.

This supplement comes with high recommendations but it did not help my eyes at all-but I do have macular degeneration. :(
