Thermo-Tec 11600 1' X 6" Pipe Shield , Silver

Bought for side x side where exhaust runs next to motor, ( have alternator kit ) man it gets hot to the touch. should be able to go around the heat shield & pipe and block the vast majority of heat off the water pump & alternator, just wish would have come in foot in half lengths. great product after reading up on it. comes with 3 long good quality hose clamps that pass through some nice heavy brackets that are riveted on. a little pricey, but I guess it one of those things you get what you pay for. just think if it was made in China, it might catch fire !!

I use this on my third gen camaro where the exhaust runs under the oil pan. The insulation keeps majority of the heat in the pipe as it should and is made fairly durarable. Its held on by hose clamps and they worked without any stripping or slipping.

I really like this piece, easy to install, clamps down quick, light smoking on first couple of uses, but trying to use this to protect my CV axle boot from the hot Downpipe. 2007 WRX has an issue with hot/cold on the inner passenger CV boot, which causes it to degrade after a couple years, vs driver side still good for 10.

Easy installation and it covers my exhaust pipe! I bought this to instantly on my 2013 ram 1500 Laramie. I recently had exhaust work for and noted how close the exhaust pipe is to the transmission pan. Heat is the enemy to auto fluid so I felt like I needed to protect it. Ente this handy little heat shield. Appears to cover my pipe adequately while providing heat protection. I was a little hesitant on getting this as I was unsure if it will meet my needs but they have bigger sizes available too.

Worked out perfect to protect my power steering rack boot from melting again from the header pipe. I swapped out one of the band clamps for a smaller one to better fit around one of the pipes and it worked great.

Too difficult to install unless installed before the headers are put on. I couldn't tell you how well they work as I wasn't able to get them on.

I noticed the spare on my 1999 silverado was seriously melted from my exhaust pipe. I am assuming the muffler shop placed the pipe closer to my tire than the original. I bought this to protect my new tire. It is nicely designed and easy to install. Looking at the materials and design, I am quite certain this will do the trick.
