Works very well. Lasts 1 year. Good design to prevent air bypass. Easy to install.
The media could not be loaded. I had a new HVAC unit installed a year ago, and it was time to replace the filter. I took the old filter out and compared it side-by-side with the new one purchased here, and I was very impressed with several things:1. Easy to remove and install2. Compact to ship, store, and dispose of.3. Very good dust capture (see the video). My old AC unit had a Honeywell whole-house filter that used a 20x25x5 MERV 11 Accumulair(R) Filter. It never captured even half the dust that this AprilAire filter did.4. There is an extra 1" of filter material at the front and back of this filter to prevent air from bypassing the filter. This extra material was clean, proving that air was not bypassing the front or back of the filter. If air was leaking around either edge of the filter, this filter material would have been dirty where the air was flowing by.

Replace more often than 12 months
Good air filter but was told by air conditioner tech that filter needs to be changed at least every quarter, not every 12 months as stated in the description. After changing after six months of use filter was very dirty. I will not wait so long next time.

Aprilaire is a winner
I have used only AprilAire for well over 10 years. I have never had any trouble with their replacement filters. They are easy to remove and replace. They will not/cannot tell you they have a much longer life, but I have found since we have no pets, kids, smokers, clean house our used filter easily gets 24 months of service. I may still have photos of the old next to the replacement. It is hard to tell one from the other.Tip #1 - I have told my daughter not to purchase or have one installed from or by the A/C company. She will save a lot of money, plus she can readily see what her pets are contributing to her environment
